Looks like the Flyers are in trade talks with the Canadiens for Subban. Why not? He and Rinaldo would make a great combo. One elbows an opponent in the head, the other slew foots him.
Where would Tangradi, Strait and Bortuzzo play if there was a lockout? would they have to go through waivers to play in the AHL?
I believe they would have to go through waivers if sent down this week. After the lockout is still to be determined. When they lock the players out they will set the rules for what to do with players on two way contracts that haven't been put on waivers.
Pittsburgh Penguins @penguins
NEWS ALERT #Pens have signed 1st-rounders @dpouliot51 (http://pens.pe/PcmCaO) & Olli Maatta (http://pens.pe/PcmAzQ) to entry-level contracts
So i read Geno/Gonchar could be playing as early as Saturday.
Anyone know what time the game starts in EST?
Just looking at schedules, it would be around now'ish tomorrow morning/afternoon. I see Cal O'Reilly already plays on the team. Nice.
So far as I know, NHL players can't sign with any other leagues until the lock out is official. So, Sunday would be the earliest. The KHL has an English version of the website, and schedules are here: http://en.khl.ru/calendar/
The times are all listed for the time in Moscow, which is 8 hours ahead of EST. So, the first chance to see Malkin, Gonchar, Kulemin and the rest of MMK play would be Thursday at 17:00 MSK ... which would be 9am EST.
Also, there are two Metallurg teams. Metallurg Magnitogorsk is listed as Metallurg Mg on the English version of the schedule.

Thanks for the info.
An official lockout could be in effect before tomorrow at this time though no? I don't know when the deadline is.
Every single signing this summer seems to make Dupuis look even better and better. For as much as the owners *****, they are signing guys to huge contracts.

Agreed. One of the best contracts in the NHL, as far as bang for your buck goes. The guy can PK, plays his ass off in all three zones at even strength, and scores a bunch of goals that people don't expect of him.

Pretty sure the current CBA runs through the 15th, so it would expire at 11:59:59pm Saturday. But, I think for the lockout to be official, the NHL will have to announce it as being in effect.

Totally agree. Dupuis is a bargain in today's NHL. The thing I don't get is the owners wanting the players to reduce their current salary. The owners are the ones signing these players to the contracts.

I just want to watch some damn hockey
the teams that can afford these contracts set the market. Everyone else is forced to keep up.
