Just from that perspective I think Shero made a great move, even though trading Staal was obviously a tough pill to swallow
We could've lost Staal for nothing either way. He would have been here at least 1 more hockey season, lockout or no lockout.

No I do not believe. I have not seen him around the rink.

I do believe he is back in Pittsburgh now.

he's been working out at southpoint. So unless he went back to LA since yesterday morning I doubt it was him.

Sid's back in Pittsburgh I think but not sure. There's a good interview with him in TSN's sidebar that he obviously took right after a skate today. Not sure if that's Southpointe or LA.

he was in Pittsburgh earlier in the week for sure. Jay Caufield was leading workouts at Southpointe (assumedly via telestrator) and Sid was listed as being there.

Quote:
Looks like Penguins alum Jay Caufield will be overseeing today's workout at Southpointe. Unofficial attendance: 87, 24, 14, 58, 2, 6, 5, 27, 25, 9, 46, 48, Glass and Reese.
Someone tweeted that. It was two tweets and I forget by who. Worst quote ever.

I said it when I first posted this, but it seems like its pretty convenient that the Pens don't actually own their normal practice and workout facilities because it means the players can still use them.

I don't know but it probably involves sexual favors.

BTW I had no idea it takes so long to say stuff in Russian. It's like the Japanese. It takes them about 9 minutes to say "Yo Pauly howya doin... I'm at the pizza place. Get down here and we'll watch the game."

Frölunda of SEL working extremely hard to get Lundqvist, Karlsson and Eriksson to be allowed to play in Sweden.

Konsumentverket has called it okay - NHL is working to deny this.

Brynäs working to get Bäckström to join the club.

It's all 'bout them laws, yo.

I might be a little drunk, so no snappy comments about my english.

Drunk Scandinavians are better than everyone at everything.

If you have the patience and fortitude to teach high school, you are a better man than I am.

Why would the NHL care if those guys play in Sweden during the lockout?
