Just thought about this now and it's probably been discussed already but how much of a genius does Shero look like now with that Staal trade?! Got the best possible return he could at the time and now look at the state of the league. Who knows if they'll even play this year; So essentially we could've lost Staal for nothing. Just from that perspective I think Shero made a great move, even though trading Staal was obviously a tough pill to swallow
We could've lost Staal for nothing either way. He would have been here at least 1 more hockey season, lockout or no lockout.
Sid's back in Pittsburgh I think but not sure. There's a good interview with him in TSN's sidebar that he obviously took right after a skate today. Not sure if that's Southpointe or LA.
he was in Pittsburgh earlier in the week for sure. Jay Caufield was leading workouts at Southpointe (assumedly via telestrator) and Sid was listed as being there.
Looks like Penguins alum Jay Caufield will be overseeing today's workout at Southpointe. Unofficial attendance: 87, 24, 14, 58, 2, 6, 5, 27, 25, 9, 46, 48, Glass and Reese.
Someone tweeted that. It was two tweets and I forget by who. Worst quote ever.
I said it when I first posted this, but it seems like its pretty convenient that the Pens don't actually own their normal practice and workout facilities because it means the players can still use them.
I don't know but it probably involves sexual favors.
BTW I had no idea it takes so long to say stuff in Russian. It's like the Japanese. It takes them about 9 minutes to say "Yo Pauly howya doin... I'm at the pizza place. Get down here and we'll watch the game."

“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile, but that it is indifferent. If we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death, our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.” - Stanley Kubrick
