I didn't realize there was an overlap between E! and internet memes.

If you're talking about my post, I was randomly listing off popular sources of "pop culture" information / trends, etc.

However nothing beats an E! Hollywood True Story.

Internet pop culture is a very very different beast than E! pop culture. But I wouldn't expect someone of your...experience...to know the difference. Honestly I'm impressed you can work the internet well enough to post a youtube.

great video. I haven't seen that in years.

FU. I'm Rick JAMES... I been using Internets since 1995 *****es! I been using since the days of AOL and Prodigy and Compuserv! Recognize!

(BTW I had to kill the live feed and use the link as I realized that I might not be allowed to post YT videos with dirty words in them (Cole is going to go all Tony Montana on me if I'm not careful)).

despite being a mod, you have to break more rules than most people on this board

There's a good chance you were on the internet before me. I bet it was like 2000 when we got it. My dad needed the phone for work so we never got internet until cable internet was available. I was the first kid on the block to have the good stuff though.

Still better than anything Skrillex ever released

I'll be in the Dusseldorf area in November and the Krefeld Pinguine have a home game... least I'll get to see one Penguin game this year.

Certainly not the same, but I'm sure the delicious German beer will help

Thinking of ripping dial-up audio from YT, and sticking my electric drums under it. I'll post it if it is good enough.

To be fair, I don't mind electronic music. *I'm not versed on the categories to differentiate* I just cannot tolerate Skrillex.

So I have ESPN playing in the background and I hear these words being uttered "Breaking news, the lockout is over." I jump up only to realize they were talking about the NFL replacement refs

Watching ESPN was your first problem. Thinking they would discuss hockey was your second.

Even when the NHL lockout is over, ESPN probably won't even bother to report it.

This is America; haven't you learned yet that the privileged play by different rules?

I can remember in college working my way every few months from 14.4K to 28.8K to 56K modems as the standards improved. Oh the shame.

Although I have to be totally honest: if I had been given the opportunity to own an iPhone, have broadband at home, streaming content, killer 3D consoles, all this stuff kids have today... I would not have gotten one damn thing done my entire HS career. I'm glad I had dinosaur tech when I was a kid.

When I was really young I had one of the very first personal computers the Radio Shack TRS-80 (also known as Trash 80 according to my ******* neighbors who had a Commodore 64). Thems was the days!

Atari vs. Intellivision

IBM PC (the original) vs. Apple II

Back when a megabyte of RAM was a big deal.
