Project your breakout player.

What player on your team do you think will have a breakout season?

My guess for the spits are:
Melatta
Clarke

Depends on if you mean offensive stats alone or just a star-making campaign.

If the former, Marcantuoni and Sterk come to mind for Kitchener.

If the latter, Evan McEneny has my vote.

For Saginaw:

1) Dalton Young- Showed he could be a very effective offensive Dman last year. The way he plays reminds me alot of T.J. Brodie. He'll probably be on the first line and get alot of PP time so I could see him putting up a point a game pace.

2) Jimmy Lodge- Didn't get alot of playing time last year, but when he did he looked very good. He will get all the time he can handle now which could translate to a big jump in offensive production. Size could be a problem though.

Either way to me it's a player that last year didnt really stand out or that didnt score points or was just not that good at this level and you think this player will have a good year and will be able to excel a it more this year.

The only reason I'm not going to say Maletta is because if he had scored instead of hitting posts last year, he'd have had 20. He's just really unlucky.

I'm going to say Ben Johnson for the Spits. Put him on a line with either Kerby or Ho-Sang and he could score 40.

Definitely, and I'm hoping Pederson also has a breakout year. I'm not predicting it, but I'm really hoping.

If I had to project a break out player(s) I am slightly biased but I would have to go with Stephen Harper or Sondre Olden from Erie. Harper had 24 goals and 35 points as a 16 year old on a bad Erie team. He will most likely be paired with McDavid this season and I think his numbers could easily double.
Olden as well could breakout, he started the year off strong and really tailed off toward the end finishing with just 21 points but he had many chances he didn't finish on, he can easily be a 60 point scorer this season no matter what team he plays for, given the fact Erie could have three imports and Dansk will surely be one of them.

Saginaw's Moutrey, 6'3 210 lb power forward who reported to camp bigger ,stronger and faster. looked very good at camp with 4 goals in the blue white games playing centre. Will get the opportunities this year to break out.

Two kids on a lot of scouts radars who I think can really have a jump in #s are #1 Bo Horvat ( could double his numbers easy peazy) and Domi should also see a decent spike.
Matta as well should be improved a good deal( great work ethic) in all aspects of his game

Cameron can definitely do damage to other teams. He's pretty fast.

Kingston's Billy Jenkins might surprise some people and have a break out year.

For me, it's definitely Horvat - this isn't a player no one's ever heard of before - but what i'm really hoping is (1) he gets high quality opportunities in London; and (2) draft-wise starts to get a lot more attention than he has so far.

Max Domi from London and despite him being so young i'm looking forward to seeing how Connor Mcdavid does next year.
