FYI they both put up the same goal total even though Bobby Ryan was taken off the top line and Getzlaf was practically non-existant.

Also Perry brings the physical game, strong frame, and strong board play that I don't see in Kessel.

Perry at this point. Kessel a close second.
Not to mention Perry was playing with one arm the last part of the season. I don't even think Kessel is a close second behind Perry, I'd take Perry in every situation over Kessel.

Also, I'll add that Ryan has almost exclusively played at LW his whole career and will likely be playing LW again this year. I'd swap him for Selanne in the poll options for the next round.

Voted for Hossa. Perry and MSL are also deserving by I just have a bit of a man-crush for Hossa. He's just so strong on the puck and is one of the best defensive wingers in the game. If he could only finish his chances a bit better...

I voted Perry

Also, Gaborik is being severely underrated here

I agree that Perry>Kessel, but Getz still got 57 points beating the all-worldly Bozak, and still played PP with Ryan and half of the season at least with him. Can't play the linemates card on him, Kessel produces by himself.

Don't know how Perry is better than St.Louis, he only outscored Perry in Perry's career year while outscoring Perry by 14 points in 4 less games this season as a 37 year old. They're a wash defensively, playmaker is more valuable than a goalscorer

I doubt we will see Brown go back to RW. Kings fan have wanted a lst line left winger for so long...seems like we finally have one. Even if Gagne is healthy, Brown, Williams, and Kopitar have great chemistry so i don't see them getting split up.

I wouldn't say that, however a playmaking winger is definetely more rarer and St.louis is the best one in that regards.

I know that Kovalchuk played RW for most of last year, but now that Parise is gone, I expect him to return to the LW position that he's played for the majority of every other season.

In this poll, I voted for Marian Hossa. If he experiences no lingering effects from the Torres hit, I think he will be the best all-around RW in the league. He's explosive offensively, is extraordinarily difficult to knock off the puck, skates like the wind, and knows his way around the defensive side of the game as well. St. Louis is close, as is Perry, but I think Hossa takes this.

Note: Rick Nash is also a LW. He's played on the RW on and off for the past couple of seasons, but that has mainly been due to the needs of the team (a la Kovalchuk). I expect he'll play LW on the Rangers given the fact that they are just fine on the RW with Gaborik and Callahan.

Eriksson is a LW, too. He sometimes played RW when Neal was in town, but he played LW for all of last season and most of his career. Burrows is a RW only because he fits best with the Sedins. He's a natural LW...but I don't have a problem with him being listed here because he's played RW so often in the past few years and will be expected to do the same until a better fit with the Sedins comes along.

ADD: SELANNE, then WHEELER, then FRANZEN and VRBATA.

Don't mind Gaborik, he'll just score more goals than every guy you put ahead of him.

But really, you can. Just pick the guy with two NHL trophies. You know, The Rocket Richard and Hart Trophy.

50 goals and 98 points is a bit better offensive production than Kessel has shown at this point.

Ah! Kills me to choose between MSL and Perry. I love Martin St. Louis. He has a heart of a warrior. Guy is small as it gets but he never lets that show. I think he might still be better, but i will go out on a "gut" feeling that Perry will kick it up next year. So Perry gets my vote.

Edit:

Changed my mind, voted St.Louis

This poll is already wrong because Kovy is a LW, not RW.
