Orlov. Soft as **** on the boards and almost always leaves a gap. Weber atleast will stand in front of their net on their PK's but Orlov is pretty useless.

Guys like Rust need to key in on Orlov if he's playing, he tends to make bad decisions with the puck when he hears footsteps.

Sheary has still been making a lot of good plays so I'd like to see him rewarded. I feel like if he doesnt start producing soon he will get taken off the line.

With there being an event on saturday at 7pm at verizon, what time could the game possible be? How long does it usually take to remove all the boards and everything?

I would guess maybe 1 or 2 pm.

Weber is worse than Orlov so I hope they use him. But neither are very good.

Eh, he's looked good and Kunitz is motivating Malkin and producing/too bad to put back there. The big thing is that Sullivan has to get that a major part of that line's role is keeping Ovechkin's line quiet. iirc SCH has been out chancing them over both games and kept them out of it in game 2. Ideally some of those chances go in, but it can't be seen as the only job of the line. Crosby will probably chill out once a goal goes in because he's doing that thing where he tries to push creating offense and does weird **** instead, but he's not doing his bad line sulk.

People here did want Crosby as some kind of decoy, shutdown thing for awhile. I think that included the corpse, but here it kind of is. Kunitz also can't be in that kind of role because he's so ****ing lazy.

With the way the Caps are getting away with obstruction - holds, crosschecks, interferences, picks etc - I would rather Orlov come in. If the refs decide to swallow their whistles, Weber might be able to cheat his way into being somewhat effective. Orlov will be a defensive liability either way. Though the benefit to Weber would be, if the refs do call penalties like they should, we could skate circles around him and force him into dumb penalties.

Crosby has bad habits that he occasionally devolves back into. Saw a lot of them the last game, like ill-advised drop passes, over-fancying simple plays, or ill-advised cross-ice passes. It also didn't help that the ice was garbage last game and no one could cleanly complete a pass.

If they play Weber, which I expect, they'll just have to give him a lot of O zone starts to shelter him, and that means we play 5 on 4. The Caps will have an even harder time scoring 5 on 5.

There was before the series started, they changed the ladies night to Sunday. It even has a writeup about it above "buy tickets".

I think Orlov pushes the play well

Weber is bad at both

It doesn't matter who they play in Orpik's abscence, they now have 3 fringe NHL'ers playing defense in the middle of a play off series. If Sullivan gets his match ups, that could end up being devasting for the Capitals.

Honestly, these next two games might the most important to dial in on short of the SCF. If they can win these next two games, Washington won't come back. I'm not saying they won't win another one but it won't go 7.

The ECF is going to be a cake walk to the cup for whoever comes out of this series. The west is beatable this year. Take advantage of this before you have the Black Hawks, Kings etc. loading back up and returning to form.

I think that Wilson got away with one the night before played into this. The Caps seemed to be out of control and the league wanted to send a message. As it was the playoffs, I thought it would be two. But that is why it ended up being three.

Orpik is a pylon himself but Weber or Orlov are even worse defensively. I think Trotz is gonna ride Carlson, Alzner and Niskanen hard like we do with Tanger, Dumo and Daley.

So question to the Pens fans.. are you all saying Orpik is a pylon because he was downright awful in DB's system or because what you are seeing out of his game in Washington? I will admit I am not analyzing Washington's game as I do our own, but I just don't see him being a complete worthless pylon as he was in Pittsburgh. He's no Dan Girardi. He's definitely not that bad.

I think the minutes he eats up, his blocks, his boxing out, and his ******** over-aggressive obstruction will be missed by the Caps. I do not see him as the same pylon as he was in Pittsburgh. If anything, I think the suspension does actually help us.

That Orpik suspension is a joke, I hope the players side use that against the NHL. They keep saying they want to deter hits like that but they hand out a 3game suspension? Previous history means nothing, it's a mandate to stop all head shots and this is a slap.

The leagues dops continues to **** **** up. I hope they get sued to bankruptcy.
