Game Night Thread: Preds at Hawks

gosh, it feels good to be able to make one of these threads again
I know this is maybe a little early, but...it's been a long summer, so please pardon my enthusiasm\impatience
I figure we can get some pre-game banter going\line speculation, things of that ilk. I know that Lasak\Finley are going to play about 30 minutes each. The roster for tonight is:
Brian Finley
Jan Lasak
Jamie Allison,
Mark Eaton,
Tomas Kloucek
Curtis Murphy
Robert Schnabel
Kimmo Timonen
Denis Arkhipov
Martin Erat
Mike Farrell
Adam Hall
Scott Hartnell
Darren Haydar
Greg Johnson
Vladimir Orszagh
Ben Simon
Wyatt Smith
Scottie Upshall
Jordin Tootoo

Haydar Johnson Upshall
Hartnell Arkhipov Hall
Erat Smith Orszagh
Farrell Simon Tootoo

Timonen\Kloucek
Murphy\Eaton
Schnabel\Allison

if i were to wager a guess.

Looks like we'll go against Thibault to start tonight. I can't believe I'm this fired up to listen to a game on the radio.

The vowel line will be together atleast for the start of the game and I think Lasak is getting the start with Finley backing him up.

I wouldn't be that sure about the Vowels. Maybe for a bit, but i'd expect a LOT of juggling. the paper said that Lasak and Finley would split playing time down the middle, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Finley in first, as it seems a lot of the time teams will keep their better goalie until the second half of the game.

I'm 100% positive that the vowel line will be together atleast to start. My 'sources' say they are and then Pete confirmed it on the radio a little bit ago.

They juggle lines, like you said, quite alot in the preseason but if there is any type of chemistry, look for them to lock up that line for the night.

No Ruutu. I would figure the Hawks would like to tout this guy in their first home game. Interesting. Well maybe he will play against us in Nashville. That would be cool.

I read on Suntimes.com that Ruutu will probably start on Sunday, not tomorrow, due to stiffness in his artificial knee

With a fat goose-egg on the board for the holes, I'd say that is the best news we could hear about our defense, especially being a split-squad.
