So Wade Redden wins it for you guys. Nice to see some participation and discussion going around here!

Next up is the Islanders with the #5 pick.

I can't believe we did not protect McCabe. Or even consider McCabe over Redden in the draft .

McCabe is still fairly young and has developed into a Norris Candidate D-Man. McCabe will get far more points then Stajan will when the NHL starts up again. I bet we could have re drafted stajan in a later round but McCabe will be gone probably before we select again.

If we would have protected McCabe we could have drafted a high scoring winger like Palffy.

I think we should try for the highest scoring winger available. Someone who is close to the prime of their carreer. I like Redden but I am disapointed we used our 4th pick over all to get him. Their will be a lot of top forwards gone by the time we pick again.

You should also draft a goalie at one point or another.

I think there will be some goalies available in the later rounds. We should go with a proven verteran like Cujo. Most of the young star goalies have already been protected so I don't think anyone will waste an early pick to get an older proven goally.

I have a couple of decent picks in mind for the next rounds. Around when will we be able to make our 2nd pick? A couple of days?

IMO we should definetly go for the highest scoring winger for our next pick, I would have liked to have protected either Kaberle or McCabe instead of Stajan, and used Palffy for our first pick

A high scoring winger, you know who (28goals). He'll probably get overlooked. Also with our 3rd only a bit after our 2nd we can pick a matching passing LW.

Pinto ma man, we need to work on this. Firstly, we have to decide what we're building first, Defense or Offense. I picked Defense first. Wade Redden was my choice because he's a young all-around defenseman. With the second pick i'll try to go with a goalie ( maybe Toivonen if he's available ). And take young offensive players, ( potential ) a.k.a prospects...Lets just have fun with this as Messanger said.

Don't name players in this thread that interest you for the next pick. Other teams may read it and select them, and we'll have Pavel Rosa with our next pick.

I personally feel we should go with a nice winger, if available in the next round, and then go with a goalie, and then get Sundin's wingers and other d-men....

Jovo's available?

Sonnofa....

I think we should have a seperate voting thread and just use this as a conference thread.
