Buffalo-Toronto Epic April 3rd game replay on right now
MSG is replaying that ridiculous April 3rd game against Toronto, featuring Sulzer going off, and the Foligno-Ennis-Stafford line going wild against the Leafs.
God, it's so nice to watch hockey again. Man oh man...
Here are some thoughts:
- I'm really glad we resigned Sulzer.
- I thought maybe I was overhyping the F-E-S line in my head... watching the game, I'm not. The chemistry they have is unbelievable. They are ALWAYS working the puck around, always moving, always winning the puck battles, always making the other team look silly. It's unbelievable how good they were.
- Along the same line, Foligno makes Stafford so much better. Stafford is just a different player when he's around him. Ennis is obviously the most talented player on the line, and kinda makes the line click, but Foligno is certainly the glue.
- Thank goodness Ennis can score a bunch, because those giveaways in the defensive zone won't fly if he doesn't.
- Miller made some terrific saves in this game. The defense had some inexcusable breakdowns. Average goalie my ass.
- So glad Derek Roy is gone. My Lord, what a pain to watch.

Sulzer was brutal defensively that game, just pathetic defensive play, he made up for it with the 2 goals but I hope he is working hard this summer, I'm still skeptical about whether he will be in the top 6.

don't forget this game he was without Ehrhoff, when he was paired with Ehrhoff he was much better defensively
Man what a great game that was. Right out of the gate, Foligno was all over the ice hitting everything that moved. I can't wait to see more of that line... Those 3 + Miller are really the group that almost dragged us into the playoffs from being in last place in the east.
Thought roy actualy looked good that game. But game of the year for sure
You know, you're right. Roy was actually not bad.... the first couple periods were pretty bad though. He just looked lazy, slow, completely ineffective..

That MacArthur goal..... Oy vey. Sulzer didn't really even get outmuscled, he just let MacArthur gain position and then did nothing to stop the pass or lift Mac's stick.

He also got burned on the Gardiner goal and I think he also played another goal very poorly.
