HFBoards Top 30 Centers - #3

Going into the 2012-2013 season, lets make a HFBoards list of the top 30 centers in the NHL. Try not to take potential or the future into consideration. You can however, take into consideration the possible improvement/regressing players might've done this off-season if you're sure about it.

Also, name your player you want to add for the next poll.

#1 - Sidney Crosby His concussion problems seems to be in the past. Still the best center (and player) in the world.
#2 - Evgeni Malkin Clear number 2. His last season was, again, a proof how dominating he can be.

I guess this is a battle between Stamkos and Datsyuk. Without really thinking about it i would say Stamkos. But you have to take into consideration what the players have said about Datsyuk. Many say he is the hardest to play against, some say he is right behind Crosby.

I still believe he is a PPG+ player while being one of the best in the world defensively. Unfortunately injuries have got to him but maybe he can play a healthy season again.

Regardless i'll go with Stamkos.

Stamkos then Datsyuk. The HF way.

Add Zetterberg.

kinda jumped the gun.... Im sure Stamkos would get his share of votes for #2

little premature putting RNH ahead of: Zetts, Benn, Couture, M.Ricahrds, Carter, Briere, Duchene, Lecavalier, Ribeiro

I dont know how anyone would take Stamkos over Malkin. Besides, Malkin was the clear #2 in the top 60 forwards poll so i think its safe to assume that he is the #2.

Anyways, i forgot Zetterberg and Benn because they are listed as wingers.

Seems like Stamkos is running away with it. I'll just start the next one where it gets abit more interesting.

Pfft, didn't you hear guys? PeterForsberg informed us that offensive ability is irrelevant when evaluating first line centres, whose objective is to score. All that really matters is winning faceoffs, backchecking, shot blocking, and intoewsables

So obviously this is between Manny Malhotra and Jay Mcclement.

The Coyotes went to the Western Conference Finals and not one is listed here! Or maybe #1centers are overrated...
