We have the talent; we just have to figure out how to win.
Up until 2008 we were a perennial power house in the AFC. Funnily enough, after our sub par ECU QB left, we went way down hill. On paper the Jags should be a wild card team, just not sure what's going on on field.

The NFL is a QB league and you have a guy that, while touted coming out of college, looks far inferior to most of this year's rookie class. He doesn't flinch AS MUCH as he did last year but he still flinches and ducks like he's anticipating getting hit. Not good.

I saw Arsenal play a few weeks ago. It was amazing. Some of you might enjoy what I wrote about it: http://jonathanhawkins.net/arsenal2012.php

Very nicely written. I would be lying if I said I wasn't envious. I'd love to take a similar trip to Anfield sometime because it looks like a total blast.

Great writing and some outstanding shots. Thanks for that. Really makes me wish I could find a way to take in a Gunners or an Ajax game some time soon.

I agree 100%, but, Alex Smith is proof you don't need to throw for 500 yds and 4 TDs a game to be successful. Not sure what his stats were last week, but I believe (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I have the numbers right) that not counting the game vs. the Jets he had 36 consecutive starts without a 300 yard passing game. And he has a very nice win//loss record to go with it to boot.

Also, on a different topic, who else is smelling a Utah upset of USC tommorrow?

Has Jim Lehrer been moderating the talks between Bettman and Fehr? It all makes sense now.

I think Autumn has officially hit Calgary. Tommorrow's forecast? Sunny and 27 in the morning, before warming up to 46 in the afternoon...

In other news the Trojans are lol. How in the Hell did people think they were better than 'Bama.

Also, Spurrier mixing it up: That other USC is not ranked as high as this USC. Maybe they need to change their logo.

After all my upsets hit, I can't wait to see which favorite screws me this week lol

Well 1: they're USC, so always overhyped, and 2: they did have Barkley and a pretty ridiculous receiver group (2nd best in the country) coming back this year. Of course, if their line can't protect the QB long enough for him to get the ball to them...

According to the lines I've seen, yes. Every single one of them. Not sure what game I'd be more inclined to say has the lowest chance of being right but it's probably WVU > Texas. And given my history of saying that so far, I'm even more enthusiastic heading into the weekend.

Texas is almost as overhyped as USC and ND. Other than Ash and Mack Brown, I'd bet the average person couldn't name a person associated with that program.

Well, I know Bergeron, but that's just cause I made jokes about him having to play another sport to find work during the lockout last week.

Nice subtle way you have to call me "average" there. This means war.
