Frk with a goal, +1. And no penalties.
Nedolmel was -1.

Wonder since the Wings have Frk signed, if they could leverage the Czech team. I wouldn't make him available to this coach. He has now screwed Wings players twice. Do what Ottawa did with Zibanejad, might be harsh for Frk, but my guess is if that threat came down, Nedomlel would be invited to camp and make the team.

Why would Detroit care whether or not Nedomlel plays in the WJC?

Bäckman has an assist as well so far tonight with Linköping up 1-0.
Awesome, love the way these guys are progressing.

The chance to evaluate him against the very best of his peers.

This. Why wouldn't the Wings want to see how he stacks up against the best of the best at his age group.

Also, it's a shame that Ouellet is injured because his team is playing on Sportsnet for those up here in Canada (Maybe the NHL network in the states as well, some exciting hockey to watch)

Although he isn't far off according to this article http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/junio..._drummonville/ it says he will start skating on his own Wednesday.

They would as a bonus. But I don't think it's too important for them either. They have scouts well aware of how the prospects are doing. Well, at least well beyond the degree of knowing whether they're gonna sign him or not.

But as a bigger point, Detroit has not signed Nedomlel yet, so something like this tournament is especially important for him in my eyes and I am sure some in the organization. They might already know that, but say they have to put him Europe for a year because of the Grand Rapids logjam, this sort of thing would help. I know one thing, if we do have to loan him out, he is going pretty much anywhere in Europe aside from the Czech league.

Jokerit beat KalPa 3-2 after shootout(!), no points for Pulkkinen. According to those who watched the game, he did play well and earned icetime in the OT which has been a rarity for him this season.

Quine got 2 assist and +2 in a 2-3 loss to Belleville.
Nedolmel was -1 in a 5-6 loss to Kelowna.

It was bound to happen shooting that much, but the pucks are steadily being put into the net by Jarnkrok lately. 8 goals last 13 games including tonight. 6 goals and 12 points shy of his totals last year with about 25 games to play feels promising. One of the questionmarks going in was how he would handle playing without Silfverberg and carry the offense himself, and he's doing that now.

Indeed. Looked a bit insecure to start the season but it looks like he's figured out what needs to be done in order to actually carry the team. He's doing what people expected him to do from the get go. Best player since the loosing streak ended by far.

Since you're probably watching more games than I do, why is Thuresson almost never involved(on the scoresheet) in any of the goals that line scores?

He's usually in front of the crease shoving people arround or screening the goalie. It seems his job is to make way for Lindholm and Järnkrok.

Looks like he just scored the game winner in OT Järnkrok with the assist so goal and two assists, plus-2 and 20:46 icetime for him tonight. 5 goals, 3 assists in last 4 games, I believe.

Good to hear that about Järnkrok.

Athanasiou, Paterson and Sproul playing tonight.

AA2 against Sudbury.

Paterson against Sarnia, last time gave up 7 goals, let's hope for a better showing this time.

Sproul against Windsor. They haven't won them yet this season, Sproul was injured the other night and on another he picked up an assist.

Quine with an assist to OT winner, +1.

Sproul with an assist +/- 0. Was on the ice again for 2 goals against.

Paterson 25/27, Saginaw was shutdown. Outshot Sarnia 42-28 though.

Athanasiou picked up 2 assist and +1 in a 5-2 win over Sudbury.

After some injuries to the Swedish blueline, Backman has been added to play in Channel One Cup. Russia will be icing an Olympic quality team in this tournament, so that'll be something to watch. Jarnkrok was not named to this tournament, if anybody wonders. Some rest will probably do him good anyway.

Sproul continuing to contribute offense. Greece Lightning is killing it!

Holy Slapper sighting at Hartwall Areena tonight! Pulkkinen tied the game against Kärpät only seconds after Kärpät scored.

Jokerit won 6-5, Pulkkinen 1+0, 15 shots on goal, over 20 minutes of icetime and praises from the coach on tv.
