I was on Stastny's bandwagon ever since Foote retired, but I guess after Hedgie was named captain it really decreased Staz's chances as Landeskog and O'Reilly stepped up.

Not thrilled about this, but I'm perfectly alright and we'll see what Lando can produce and show us next season and hopefully lead us farther than where we have been the past few years.

2 things - in that picture especially, Lando looks like a super saiyan and/or our NHL superhero abomination by Stan Lee,

and

I ****ing hate our jerseys, more specifically the way that the "C" gets cut through by piping

whoa, i fully expected him to be captain in 2-3 years but so soon?
wow, i'm happy as hell for him and look forward to seeing him rep the Avs as the captain.

honestly thought EJ & him would be co captains at some point. excellent to see Lando doing so well so soon.

Especially in a city with a lot of sports teams.

On the ice he did seem respectful towards officials and opponents while still being a guy that doesn't back down or seem intimidated.

He's young, but he's 19 going on 30.
All of this. Please post this on the main forum.

Although i like the decision they made, i think a lot of it had more to do with the marketing of the team. Landeskog is exactly the type of player you use toincrease your fan base and jersey sales. He's young, was drafted high, and has a cool name. Same goes for Duchene. Actually i think Duchene is much more marketable but he had a rough season and everyone has a bad impression of him now. If O'reilly was a high draft pick and had a 'cool' last name i think he would've been chosen. Wise decision by Kronke, although a little premature.

I don't think it was done for marketing. I think he was the best option we have. It is a bonus that he is highly marketable too.

The Avs don't give a **** about marketing so those saying that it was a marketing move are dead wrong.

Can't say it enough. I HATE, HATE 'em too. The very day I find out they've changed the design of their jerseys (even a new 3rd) I will buy an authentic Landeskog. But I will never, ever, ever buy the ridiculous Edge apron jersey.

The real question is, which would you choose:

The Meatball Marinara or the Cold Cut combo

I know I'm adding to a broken record but that was great WoG. Reading it in their voices is hilarious, especially the segue into the Subway ad.

Edit: C. C. Combo alllll day.
