ESPN: A Couple Articles on the Year Anniversary of Lokomotiv Tragedy

Detroit based Craig Custance on Brad McCrimmon and his family.

http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/83...tiv-team-crash

Scott Burnside on Ruslan Salei and his family

http://espn.go.com/nhl/story/_/id/83...tiv-team-crash

Not a huge Burnside fan but I can say this is honestly probably the best piece of writing I think he has ever put up on ESPN. Had me tearing up a little.

May all the victims of that tragedy rest in peace. Taken far too soon.

Thought I would share them in case nobody had come across them.

Thanks for posting these. I had forgot it was the anniversary. Man both those articles hit home, and imagine multiplying one of them by 44...too much for words.

There is also an article there about supposed changes in the standard of air safety and findings in the cause of the crash. Ridiculous. The "pilots" were in no way legitimate. Such a ****ing tragedy caused by these murdering *******s.

The aircrew were not properly trained, but they weren't murderers. They died too, after all. It is the Russian government's fault for the poor training. Neglect of the worst kind.

Really sad day.
In Russia, safety is for little girls. On Reddit, every other day someone posts an absolutely crazy video from Russia
Maybe living in such a harsh environment makes you think you don't need government oversight. I dunno.

It's really sad. We've seen this junior hockey with buses.

And just the other day, Constanza, Lord of the Idiots, had this to say:

Really only put up the two columns about the Wings. But they also had one on Demitra for those interested.
