Per Bob McKenzie via Twitter, the Dallas Stars have waived: Sceviour, Fortunus, Petersen, Morin, Sloan, Wathier.
Only players on two-way contracts can play in the AHL, and the waiver rules still apply. That is why these guys had to be placed on waivers.
This could be a blessing honestly for Sceviour. I don't think there's any chance a team will make a claim on players at this point, but had this occurred during the season I could see Dallas potentially losing Sceviour like they lost Crombeen.
I italicized Roussel and Tousignant because I'm guessing Dallas would prefer they actually play in the ECHL rather than sit in the pressbox. That's also why I left off Labrie and Coyle. I assume Texas will stick with the AHL/ECHL guy they signed to be the 7th defender. Labrie and Coyle will likely get prime time in Idaho.
