If your going to make an offer for Henrique at least offer something of value to the Devils not spare parts.

In before lock?

Seriously though, in what ways does this seems like a good deal?

I'll be the first to acknowledge this proposal as "not horrid."

That said, we'd ask for much, much more for Henrique in a deal. He reminds us of Parise 2.0, but with more clutch scoring and the ability to play center well. We're too high on the kid to dish him for a decent-at-best lateral move, and then just spare parts.

Looking at his game by game chart last year I see three names coming up a lot--Parise, Kovelchuck and Clarkson. I have been a huge Clarkson fan for awhile and I think he needs to get some props for adam-henrique development.

Like Clarkie, but going to be honest, he does not make the players around him better.

That isn't a terrible proposal, actually. Teubert stinks, but Gagner is a decent 2nd line center and Paajarvi is pretty underrated after an unlucky season.

With that said, any offer worth considering for Henrique right now would need to be an absolute no brainer.

Agreed. That value isn't terribly lopsided -- but I don't see this as the kind of deal Henrique would be involved in.

It's not entirely false, but the Kovalchuk/Parise factor is definitely overstated in terms of Henrique's production.

Henrique & Clarkson performed well together whenever they were paired on the 3rd line.
But as stated above... that wasn't Clarkson's doing

go to ESPN game by game breakdown of the kids PRODUCTION--there is a reason why I picked up those three names, I looked at 14 games were he got pts and usually atleast one of those three names appeared in the scoring summery. NOt knocking the kid, but as stated, i am a huge clarkson fan and have believed for years he has been underrated in what he does for his linemates

What gets lost in just looking at box scores is how much of his own offense he was able to produce for being a rookie thrown onto the top line.

Henrique centered Kovy & Parise for most of the season, was paired with Parise on the PK and when he wasn't on the top line, he was playing with Clarkson on the 3rd.
He didn't get as much PP time as the others, so those 3 names make sense to be the ones that you're seeing.

I do think Clarkson deserves more credit, some people speak of him as if he's a blackhole.
If he can stay on his skates, he's pretty good at holding onto the puck.
He'll crash the net more than most on the roster, which is necessary.

That's how he got a lot of his goals - and the team needs that kind of production next season. Those timely garbage goals.
It allows his linemates to fire away at the net, which this team needs to do more of.

It's a lot to pay for a guy who came out of no where and had one good season. I'm not buying the Henrique hype just yet. The guy played with Kovalchuk and Parise for most of the season while Zajac was injured so his stats are a little inflated.

From the oilers perspective I guess I would point out that when Gagner Played with Hall and Eberle he looked like a world beater as well

I'll concede that Henrique has to continue to prove his worth after a good rookie year.

But, it should continue to be noted that he was able to maintain production playing on the 3rd line without star linemates and without top line minutes.

You should. He was making Taylor Hall look good in Windsor.

But, of course, that was all Taylor Hall.

Anyway, if Edmonton wants clutch, Nail's coming back. No ifs ands or butts. Don't care for the op's package.

A Henrique Yakupov trade would be far too handsome, universe would explode.

Henriques handsome and he made Hall the player he was then and he is now.

Add Larson and consider a package of Khabibulin by himself for Henrique and Adam. Let's play ridiculousness. Who do you think Adam Henrique is?

I just don't think these two are good trading partners. NJ would want a big name and EDM is signing all of theirs. This just isn't going to work on any level.

Basically, Edmonton is giving up a LOT more than Henrique is worth, but NJ doesn't really have any reason to do it

I'd love to get Henrique on the Oilers but not at the expense of MP.

Hemsky RNH Eberle
Hall Henrique Yakupov

The only guy from EDM I'm interested in that I think might actually be realistic is Hemsky. I'm sure Edmonton would love to reunite Hall and Henrique, and I'm sure NJ would love to get their hands on one of the big name kids Edmonton has at forward, but any proposals for any of those guys would be unrealistic and not benefit both teams.

And no, I would not include Henrique in a trade for Hemsky.
