What exactly is distorted? We know even before the lockout Moscow Dynamo was the champion and Magnitka would be a good team regardless of Malkin. True, maybe they are outperforming themselves at the moment and certainly NHLers are a big factor in that (especially in Dynamo and Magnitogorsk) but the season has only now started and we will see... Malkin has now been 0+0 in the last two games and it wasn't as if Magnitka drove over Slovan and now beat (also NHL enhanced) CSKA.

And Datsyuk's CSKA still isn't the superteam it wants to be and Salavat Yulaev was struggling even before Malkovechkins came to KHL... SKA is very good at the moment but it is SKA, let's remember how good they were last year at the second part of the season when they seemed unstoppable- they are good in regular season.

Some average or bad teams might get a beating more but it's not like early surprise Neftekhimik and Avtomobilist were a factor last year and doubtfully they will be better this year.

2-2 and it's overtime in Riga vs Salavat. Nice, considering that even with SYU uneven game at this point Ufa has probably been the hardest team for us to crack in the previous years. And, of course, we need points wherever we can get them, tough to fight fo play-offs in today's West

PS: Aaand we lost... But anyway

if Tampa offers him a one way contract then i think it`s possible - otherwise, not sure.. he`s value as a goal scorer and guy who plays tough is pretty high in khl. last years champions Dynamo Moscow wanted him this summer.

Probably to replace Komarov. I wonder if he'll ever get a one-way deal from Tampa. I wouldn't put it past Yzerman to take a chance on him.

Those screams mostly ended the day we ousted SKA from the play-offs.

But I remember very clearly how Torpedo fans were moaning back in spring.

Actually everything. He's not play-by-play announcer. So I wanna know how you're able to evaluate him properly if you don't understand **** he's saying.

But he is a play-by-play guy though he really isn't that good when he works alone, same for most R2 announcers. Gimayev really makes their commentary animate and interesting.

It seems that this a nice week for a Russian sports fan, first on Thursday 4.9 The Moscow derby Spartak-CSKA in ice-hockey, and then on Sunday 7.9 The Moscow derby Spartak-CSKA in football.
Busy weekend for Moscow police also?

You'd have to imagine that the league said something to them behind the scenes. With all of the added attention from the lockout, they probably don't want the black eye on the league. Gillies or Yablo aren't even dressed most nights. The league probably figures until the lockout ends, they can ditch the side show.

But yeah, Vityaz actually looks good this year, they got Panarin back now I think they may even be ready to take a playoff spot.

I was looking the Vityaz game this morning(Canada), and I tough that Evgeny Timkin situation is almost the same than Mikhail Anisin last year. The guy had his first big year and he looks very good. Remember, Anisin was traded to a contender club, do you think Timkin will follow the story?

Tkachev is a terrible anouncer. He should stay at his analytics. Put aside I don't like his point of view, as an anouncer you should follow the game and shove your bias up your ... too. I'm sick of him telling stories during the game.

Every decent Vityaz player walks the same path. You get a lot of minutes to prove yourself playing for Vityaz and come trade deadline you move to play-off bound team. Take a look at history, when trade deadline comes it's like some kind of exodus, ~10 players are leaving.
