You and me both. I recently ran through the show "Prison Break" on Netflix and it amazed me how many actors on LOST appeared on it throughout the four seasons it was on. Really kinda neat to see, honestly.

Completely unrelated show, but anyone watch Weeds at all? Still mind-blown at the last episode.

How about how I would smack the **** out of you in any poker game

Did I stoke the fire a bit?

But in all seriousness I do miss playing poker online.

Hahaha.

The funniest part with me wasn't the actual procedure, but the two years leading up to it.

See if you already have a kid or two your physician will refer you no questions asked, and the urologist will do the surgery. Also no questions asked, and often within like six months of your first inquiry.

If you don't have kids...holy **** how they make you wait.

This is the short version:
Me- Doc I want this done.
Dr.- Well talk again in six months.

Six months later:
I want this done.
Come back in three months and I'll refer you.

Three more months pass. Of course this time he writes the referral, but only after the last question he asks:

Dr.- But what if you have the next Beethoven?

Me- I could also have the next John Wayne Gacy.

Dr.- I'll write the referral.

Then I had another year with the other Dr., as he felt it was best I didn't have it done. At one point he said the insurance companies don't cover it (IRS only like a $500 procedure) because they don't consider it necessary. But if I got my wife pregnant they would cover the 40 grand pre natal and for delivery no questions asked?

I did those *******s a favor! They should have actually paid ME to have it done.

I got my refferral the day I asked my doctor and I was 28 at the time. I didn't go through with it then (earlier this year) because it was going to be almost 2000 out of pocket. My current health plan covers it, I am just waiting to reenroll next March for the PPO 100 and then I am getting it done.

Guess I'll be celibate for 6 and 1/2 months... yeah right!

Got mine two years ago this month. The whole thing is pretty straight forward, and you're out in like an hour.

If you have questions about any of it pm me.

The whole procedure is to symbolic for me to ever consider. Some say when you get married you might as well hand the hardy boys over in a guppie bag (one slip of the knife and their might not be much of a mystery either). I feel like the vasectomy is the closest thing to that literally happening.

You must really like, already have, or want kids.

And just out of curiosity how familiar are you with the whole procedure? It sounds like, and I could be wrong, you have a lot of misconceptions about the whole thing.

lol. That is just too true man.

The same with the IUD, after you have at least 1 child it's a lot easier for her to get one. I was talking about vasectomies with my uncle (who had one a long long time ago) and he said if you don't have kids it's nearly impossible. (as he doesn't have any kids nor does he want any) I think they make you "donate some seeds" either way just in case.

My fiance Is going for the Mirena after she has our daughter in November, and I'm pretty sure it's practically free because this is our 3rd child now.

We talked about it for a little and she suggested the "V" word and I just shook my head. After extensive research I concluded that the Mirena or even tying her tubes would be less painful for me. haha

No I just enjoy making jokes. My girlfriend got an IUD quite some time ago. I have no desire to have kids now or any times soon. Without getting to political, I do want kids but there is no chance I bring a child into this world with the future it has ahead of it. Its simply not fair. We are heading for a crisis that will make Greece looks like childs play and yet you have people who are too inept to use a stapler, voting and deciding the fate of our country.

I think I am pretty clear on most of it, the one question I'd have is how long after and how many check-ups before they ruled you sterile?

Man, this thread went from younger guys talking about video games to older guys cutting the cord rather quickly...

I'm excited to have kids

First born son, first name - Hank, middle name - Eli

I also like to tell people that I'm going to run experiments on my kids, like, make one of them hate me beyond belief, and see how they turn out as an adult versus giving another one of my kids anything their heart desires I also can't wait to smash my kids at video games, and belittle them at all moments.

Erm...maybe I shouldn't have kids after all

If you're a desk jockey you can return to work the next day. If your job requires you moving a lot I would take 2-3 days to relax.

Also afterwards you're going to be on another planet, so you should arrange something so you can get home.

As far ad your actual question? About three months.

I move all day, so, free break from work!

Damn, 3 months worth of sperm just hanging out in the tubes? Is that ejaculating daily, or do you let it collect dust?

Just bought some Mylec goalie pads for street hockey.

Now I can slide into the stack.

Had to buy some knee pads though, because dropping down hurts the knees slightly.
