That was a hell of play by Frazer after the initial muff

Nice at bat by Wandy, although that almost turned into a double play. We'll take the luck, works like a sac fly and still two in scoring position for Holt.

Although Wandy makes the departed Bedard look like Usain Bolt, any other pitcher on the staff I believe is safe on that one at first. It was a nice play by Frazier, but he ran a ways to get it.

Gotta keep after Latos here, and hopefully knock him out of the game early.

For as ****ing atrocious as that trade supposedly was, Wandy has been our best pitcher these past couple weeks.

Wandy, like a boss. It'd be nice to get at least one more out of him, but if he has another clean and quick inning, he could go eight. Regardless, I think pitching is what will win this game. Scratching out another run would be nice, but it's looking tough for the offense.

Holt's really got to make that play. He's got a lot of work to do if he's going to be a starter in the MLB, especially on the Pirates with second base already blocked.

Also stupid to go to Hughes. Grill is the pitcher I want in there in leverage situations.

That's 100% on Hurdle. Bad bad overmanagement. Wandy dominated Navarro tonight and had only allowed a single in that inning to Joey Votto, and was only at 90 pitchers. Just stupid and ****ing predictable that that would backfire. Terrible, and now best case scenario is a lock down bullpen battle, whereas realistic case is Resop gives up a run next inning and we lose.

I keep watching the Pirates because I hate myself.

The Pirates organization has been philosophically opposed to taking walks since before I can remember. That's the only reason to let a journeyman hack away at a 3-0 pitch in a tie game with a runner on.
