nice. "Prison Sex" by Tool during the power play. I guess it's meant to cheer them on...

It's making me dizzy. They change the angle mid-play.

Almqvist with his first, bad goal to give up for the Michigan native.

Pretty funny when the puck goes for icing and he tries to follow after with heavy zoom. Feels like you're inside the lens.

I love the "crotch-cam" as players leave the penalty box.

Texas's arena is setup differently (probably because it's new). So their camera and video system is completely different than any other team that the Griffins play.

It's kind of pain in the ass since ahllive uses a different player for their games.

There's some consolation, the stream quality is actually something that resembles HQ.

2-1! Andersson from Tatar and Smith, I think. I have to say, I do like how Tatar goes to the net.

Yup, they have HD like cameras there...but if you watch, it's actually cut-off on the video. Technically ahllive has it in 16:9 format, but it's stretched (I un-stretch it). It doesn't make sense because they already are cropping it, so in others words they take a good thing and make it crap(pier).

A bit weird how they treat the picture yeah. I'm not watching it via redwingslive though.

Oh another thing. This video player setup screws up my archiving of the game....doesn't match how it's normally done. So games at the Stars don't work so well on the site, though it's something I hope to fix.

Have known this for a while but really always impressive handling the puck. Will be nice if he pans out to have a guy that you feel confident in when he leaves to play the puck.

Busy period for Mrazek. But he's used to that.

I was pretty satisfied with Mrazek there. He has this confidence about him that seems to put the D at ease. I'm not sure the team has a ton of confidence in McCollum or Pierce anymore.

Although to be fair to McCollum, he's been decent and he might be changing that.

I think that is pretty spot on and I agree on McCollum. I have actually been feeling better about him since about March of last year. I think Mrazek will quickly eclipse him, but he hasn't been as bad as his first season and a half as a pro.

Griffins Game Day @GriffinsGameDay
Scores! Feed is momentarily down but Almquist has added his second of the night. Three points in two games now.

2. GR Almquist, (2) (Paetsch, Ferraro), 2:43 (PP)

Glad to see Ferraro on the PP. He's been very good in these first games.

Almqvist has looked good a lot of times just seems everytime he makes a mistake the red light goes on. His passing aside from a couple big oops moments has been crisp and he clearly sees the ice pretty well. It just seems he has zero puck luck, he gives away in the corner and his stick breaks on the same shift, so that kind of stuff. Doesn't help him that Billins has been pretty much taking his role.

I know he made terrible turnovers yesterday but that game was a step forward for him because he played the game he's supposed to play. He was on the scoreboard and could've added more points. He can move the puck and that's what the Griffins need from him. He doesn't need to play conservative like he's a defensive D imo(SEL style). If he's learned from the start he could go on to have a good season from here. It all starts with confidence and trust from the coach(and he's getting that since last weekend).

Replay worked, Almquist's second goal was a nice one-timer.
