Sheahan is kind of confusing. He always seems to be making a smart play, but he's so rarely offensively dangerous. I don't quite understand.

The mini euro twins

You couldn't have asked for a better debut by Mrazek.

Great job by Mrazek, probably the first time a Griffins goalie has had a save percentage over .900 in a game this season.

First of all I couldn't stand that camera man, it was so hard to watch that game with all the zooming in on the puck carrier.
But Mrazek was great he is so quick from post to post and also a very good puck handler.
I like Almqvist and think he just needs to get used to NA hockey, but he is just lost when he doesn't have the puck. Bad pinch at the end of the game but Mrazek saved him. But Almqvist sees the ice so well and definitely has a lot of offensive awareness.
My biggest beef with the Griffins, they can't not clear the zone to save their life. Most of their troubles are off turnovers along the half boards when they had an opportunity to clear.

Like I said, our #1 goalie prospect right now, with Paterson killing it for the #2 spot IMO. So glad to have Mrazek up in the A.

My guess is he'll be a lesser version of Val Filppula when it comes to offense but he can play a physical game. At this point he could probably project as a very good 3rd line center in the NHL.

Have to be honest and I am a big Sheahan fan, I want more out of his physical game. He rarely finishes his checks right now, I know he is adjusting but somebody needs to sit him down and explain that at his size crunching guys at least every couple of guys he needs to run into to the the ditch. Too often he does the fly by which is fine as far as positioning, but the D-man when I watch are getting to the point where they expect it, he should dump a few more in my opinion.

Also, are Fournier and Nicastro injured? If not, can they be sent to TOL so they can play?

Nicastro is out until at least Wednesday with a mild-concussion. Will be back at some point next week. Really don't understand the point of what they are doing with Fournier. I would like to see a couple of the vets benched as well, they haven't been playing great.

Bob it is hard to expect a guy like Jurco to produce massive points, from what i have seen he doesn't get much playing time, and he gets no powerplay time either, I think they should at least use him on the second unit.

On the Callahan question CB he is getting benched and scratched for a reason. I know people around here like him but he has been a bad pest thus far. He takes bad penalties and just hasn't been playing well. It earns you a seat in the press box.

Jurco and Sheahan have looked good most nights in limited ice time. Hoggan over Jurco is killing me on the power play. Jurco needs to attack more look a little more confident he still struggles with pro reads but that is to be expected. As I pointed out above, Sheahan needs to start using his big frame a little more. I expect both will happen as they get more comfortable.

Andersson is dealing with a bit of puck luck, he is playing well on that line but missing the score sheet. He has still been pretty good most nights. Would like to see him be a little better, he did miss time with an injury at the start of the season, so maybe he has something nagging. He has been doing a good job, the points should start to pick up.

Aubry is a little disappointing. He isn't on Callahan's level, but I expected a lot more going into the year. He has been good defensively which is where he will make his living. Hoggan has been good and might be a good leader, but right now he doesn't have a whole lot of chemistry with anyone in my opinion. Would really like to see a Parkes, Callahan and Aubry line. But the later two need to pick up there game.

Parkes and Ferraro have been fantastic in the group of guys that aren't huge prospects so we don't talk a lot about.

Nyquist and Tatar have been the best forwards to start the season, no surprise there. Ferraro's been a good third.

Andersson was sluggish to start but now he's buzzin. The man that scored 20 goals last year is sighting, he's driving the net and shooting the puck.

Jurco I agree could be of better use. It's expected he's not lighting it up at even strength given his role so give him some PP time, make use of that skill.

Sheahan I'm just not noticing much. Sure he's there and does his defensive work but is kinda MIA in the offensive zone. The healthy scratches should be a wakeup call.

Almquist's offense is starting to come alive. I think they've told him to loosen the brakes a bit, be creative and join the rush. His confidence level has gone up. Also starting to shape up some chemistry with Paetsch.

The "bruisers" have been disappointing to me. Parkes and lately Raedeke have been better than Aubry and Callahan. Callahan took a stupid boarding penalty Friday and added just about nothing else to the game, so I guess that's why he was scratched yesterday.

Hoggan and Pare better start to produce up to their ice time. Evans and Lashoff, meh.

Looks like they're giving Mrazek the start again. Granlund's injured but plenty of good forwards on the Aeros.

Griffins are rolling 5 D's btw. Paetsch and Lashoff are out(both injured I guess), Fournier is in. Callahan in too, so they've got 13 F's.

The Evans special; skating back with the puck into own zone, only to fail at getting it out again.

Absolute blast from Ferraro to make it 1-0.

Really nice play by Almqvist helped set up Ferraro's blast. Good screen by Aubry, Hackett had no chance.
