It is time to change some of the lines. Although with that said Peoria is setting back hockey 20 years. If I had tried to get somebody interested in hockey tonight it would have failed. Just an awful game and not because the Griffins lost but that 1 high and four back clog the middle strategy is just absolutely boring.
I agree. Things looked better late in the third when they broke up Gus and Tatar. The defense looked bad all night. To a man they had problems making plays with the puck. I hate Peoria. I think they are a ******* child of the 90s Devils.
Says four guys are ready to fight for spots on the Red Wings.
I don't understand how are they going to use these guys, because the only rotation we can do without injuries is to keep Nyquist/Brunner up and/or send them down and bring Tatar/Andersson up. And in this scenario I presume Emmerton is waived and Eaves is on LTIR. Then we have these 14 forwards to be rotated + Andersson/Tatar.
We have the bodies, but the NHL waiver system is too stupid and restrictive for sensible use.
Kronwall - Ericsson
Quincey - White
Colaiacovo - Smith
Emmerton still waived. I only listed players who would be on the actual NHL roster and not playing in the AHL. I think Tatar, Lashoff, and McCollum (I don't think they'd call up an AHL rookie goaltender) are the first callups.
Honestly, hopefully a new one on Wednesday. Blashill needs to do something, if he wants to keep the new Eurotwins (Tatar and Nyquist) together than Andersson needs to switch with Sheahan. Try something new, this has been going on for really the last three weeks it just came out in a bigger way this weekend.
Maybe Coetzee requested the time off to visit family or attend personal issues? I can't imagine they just decided not to recall him considering how badly they need offense and how he's by far the best offensive player of the bunch.
Glendening in the lineup tonight, excited to see him play. Good defensive player and he is scoring a bunch in the ECHL. Also sounds like Nestrasil might be in, Blashill said he is one of the most improved players in the entire organization. They said he is night and day from where he was a year ago in terms of how he plays a total game not just offense. Very kind words leading in, sounds like he will play on the third line.
Aubry carrying an injury and won't play. Raedeke and Parkes are the normals that are scratched. Fournier and Nicastro as usual the D-man sitting on the sidelines.
