Tv Rights for Scandinavia ??

Just wondering where I can watch KHL games this season..

Viasat Hockey was my poison last season, but so far I'm unable to get an answer from them if theire showing games again this season, which starts TODAY...

I know that they renegotiated a deal for the Balkan countries, but wasn't that just for some countries ?

Anyone know if Viasat will show KHL games in Europe/Scandinavia this season and can point me to a link that lists the upcoming tv games?

I posted that a month ago in another thread. There's now fewer Swedish players in KHL, Allsvenskan gets bigger ratings. Viasat's Finnish partner Nelonen don't have the money to show KHL by themselves and they're going to become the sole broadcasters for SM-liiga a year from now so they'll stick to that (already show one monthly game and the finals exclusively) and the NHL (with Viasat).

I am not sure about exact numbers but the article on the subject mentioned declining number of Swedes, especially star players and the more attractive Allsvenskan as the reasons for dropping it.

According to www.quanthockey.com/khl it's true:

08/09: 11 Swedes
09/10: 12 Swedes
10/11: 17 Swedes
11/12: 20 Swedes
12/13: 12 Swedes

Firstly, you are forgetting about goalies, and secondly, we are only 2-3 games into the season, plenty of time to sign a fe more Swedes yet.

Aren't the foreign player spots pretty much taken?

Atlant has some roster spots open, and they usually are high on Swedes ,plus there was some other team too. But basically we still have Donbass, Dinamo Minsk, Dinamo Riga, Barys, Lev, SLovan with no foreigner restrictions so there you go.

For example Mikael Tellquist isn't showing up on QH simply because he haven't yet played.
