You ever wish you could just fast forward through 6 months to a year of your life to see how things turn out?

The smell of new carpet - it's a beautiful thing. Just had older, smoked-in carpet replaced in our new bedroom. What a difference!

Don't even get me started with drapes/curtains. Wife wants to buy $60 panels. We need a total of 8 for the great room. $480 for fricken cloth that hangs in front of a window?

I disclosed my displeasure over the price last night.

On a side note. The refrigerator and washer/dryer was delivered Monday. I can't wait to do laundry. THEY'RE AWESOME

Yes and no.

On one hand, uncertainty can suck. On the other, the journey is more important than the destination.

I've wanted to sleep through an entire day or two at times, but 6 months?

Keep doing what you're doing, and it will turn out for the best.

I think he means jump forward, see what happens, and then go back to now. Like a 6 month spoiler alert.

Yeah... it's pricey, but at the same time, at least it's kinda a one-time fixed cost. Do it right and it'll look good forever.

That said, I'm with you. 500 bucks for cloth. Rock on. That's probably beyond wedding dress insanity when you think about it.

And yes, new appliances are great. I remember when we bought our vacuum last year I was actually excited to use it. Hell, I still like using it.

I swear I've been sick for the past 3 weeks. It just keeps coming back and I can't seem to shake it.

I'm that kid in class who is coughing and sneezing every 30 seconds. I've missed so many of them recently because I've been such a distraction to everyone else. Sucks.

Are you sure its a cold and not allergies? The hot summer is making weed pollen terrible this year. Thankfully, its dying off now.

Counting down to when I can get my new phone. Can't come soon enough. This one is getting very slow.

Reading through the dryer manual. Sad and hilarious that I read this:

"Do not fill the steam feeder with liquids such as gasoline, dry-cleaning solvents, or other flammable or explosive substances. They give off vapors that could explode."

Duh. The sad part is that someone must've put something explosive in the steam feeder prior for them to put out the warning. Either that, or they have awesome lawyers.

And the "could" in the warning is like a dare. Will it or not!?

I don't know. Is a WHL 12 hour bus ride more important than the game you play at the end of it?

I wish I could expand on what's happening, but.....

I saved a lot of money when I bought my house in May because they included the appliances, but I missed out on that "buying cool new stuff" moment as a result.

I kind of want my washer and dryer to die so I can get those new ones that look like freaking space ships. My fridge is brand new, but it is like the cheapest one you can buy at Best Buy, so no cool doors or LED displays or anything.
