St. Martin followed Guy on 1260

Did anyone else stay tuned for the interview with Blair St. Martin?

He's a husband and father, and said that he couldn't make enough $$ on an AHL contract to support his uprooted family. Hence the early cut so he could get back to school.

He was pleased with his effort, but wished that he had been invited to camp much earlier, as he would have been in better shape.

When asked who made the biggest impressions on him at camp, he said "Hemsky and Reasoner".
Perceptive, isn't he?

Playing in the CIS St. Martin has probably never faced one-on-one a player with the raw skill like Hemsky. That would be a shock to d-man. St. Martin is sure a good d-man for the Bears and I think he is extremely smart by finishing school and becoming a doc. Hockey is fun and all but with a family his future is in the medical profession not hockey. Heck of a showing at camp and I look forward to watching him play for the Bears this year.
