Vancouver's probably going to trade Luongo, can't see them trading Lack as well. Also as someone else said Philly's not trading Brayden not that they've acquired his brother, Luke.

Exhibit A as to how hockey doesn't matter on ESPN:

Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.

Don't like the Flyers trade too much, doubt it's a trade either team would make. With adding Luke I don't think getting Brayden would come easy from the Flyers, Briere has been a huge factor in the Playoffs, and on the Canucks side Elder while in need of a new contract, is still very much needed on the Canucks' blueline. On top of that the Canucks are adding in some good pieces in Lack, Schroeder, and Booth which in a deal involving Elder for just a change in positions, is not ideal. Both sides say no.

Second trade neither team likes as well. Florida is very happy with Versteeg and don't value Luongo the same way Canucks fans do. While a return of Versteeg for Luongo would be solid, adding in a guy like Hansen really hinders it IMO, and I know the Panthers don't want to move Steeger for Luongo.

Both trades are trades that none of the teams would be inclined to make.

Actually, as a Flyer fan, I think this is plausible....losing Schenn and Briere would surely hurt but we get a solid young goalie which we need and a solid d man.....I don't mind this proposal...you have to give up quality to get quality...

Luongo didn't break. The team in front of him played like ****. It's because of Luongo and Schneider that we even won the President's trophy.
