We need our later picks to develop as others seem to have been a bust. I don't know what is going on with the top 6 on the OIlers but it seems they can't score. Getting 1 or 2 goals a game just doesn't do it.
I have no idea what has gotten into Bellevile. The are scoring like crazy right now after being one of the lowest scoring teams in the OHL most of the year.
Zharkov had 1g 1a last night. He now has 5 goals and 7 points in his last 4 games.
Jujhar Khaira and Reider seem to be 2 viable center prospects thus far (assuming Reider is playing center in Kitchener) Khaira has some good size and skillset and it getting good ice time at MT and Reider seems to be a great defensive forward who can still put up points.

Rieder has been left-handed RW for most of his time in Kitchener. He recently made the move to the middle after Faksa went down. Since then he has been on a tear.

Is the tear because of playing with better linemates in the C role, or because his style is better suited to the C position. Or just a random hot streak hed have even if he stayed on RW
Tuohimaa started for Jokerit in Oulut against the home team Kärpät, he made 25 saves in a 1-4 loss. I haven't bothered watching the highlights but I read the the first two were softies.

The only change of linemates is that he now has Puempel on his line. He has been playing with Leivo since the OHL trade deadline. Interestingly enough though Puempel has been very quiet of late. He has 2 g and 1a over the same stretch. Rieder had 4 points last night on 11 Kitchener goals and Puempel came up empty.
I really like Rieder as a center. It gets him much more into the game and in very good position to use his skills.
I believe that Klefbom has a better chance of starting the year with the big club than Marincin does.
Unless his injury sets him back I'm pretty sure Klefbom will play with the big club from day one and stick with it the whole year. He's so solid and so much better than what we got on our bottom pairing this season. I say he isn't far off Jonas Brodin and he's doing fairly well for the Wild, played 24 mins last night.
Based on what I've been told about his injury it shouldn't set him back too much but it's not like we haven't heard that one before. Here's to hoping...
Pretty sure Klefbom makes the team next year, even with his injury next year. I think he'll surprise a lot of people with how good he will be right away. He pretty much could be in the NHL this year if not for contractual obligations+injury. Hockey IQ similar to Schultz. Could be the shutdown half of a top pairing in a few years.
It is good to see that we have players like Musil, Gernat, Bigios, and Klefbom coming up next year as our defense is pretty week. I am not expecting those guys to have no problem in the AHL but it starts the next waive of dmen and players like Peckham and Plante can be let loose.
