I forgot to mention but Snet and Gene had LaLeggia on TV the other night when the Oilers were in Denver playing the Avs. He talked a little about how he knows Nuge and a bit about his play and style.

It's on the Oilers' website. You just need to go to videos on March 14. There was a link on the homepage in fresh finds, but it isn't there any more.

@TPS_Guy: The @BigosK watch has officially Begun. 6'4, 240lbs (more?) d-man can be UFA in Aug if not signed. @EdmontonOilers are on the clock @TPSDean

He can't be worse then Plante or Teubert, 2yr deal see what he can do in the minors and in camp.

The Oilers will want to sign him I'm sure. Would hate to lose him to the cba loophole and have him go ufa.

Here's hope, the big question is, yes there's impressive size, but can he play? I mean I know he's likely more then a coke machine, but does he have something that could take him to the NHL at some point?

Any College watchers or scouts on here know anything? Thanks.

Wow that was one hell of a hit by that UND player. He's a Leafs prospect, not sure why we can't draft some guys like that?

I can't say I've seen him other than some clips of last year's rookie camp, but from what I've read, it does sound like there's more to him than size.

He's a pretty good skater for his size, has a cannon of a shot and supposedly has a decent break-out pass.

He played on Merrimack's PP too. Sometimes as the net front presence.

Interesting, Makes me wonder if he does have something that can translate to the NHL and if you consider moving upfront as a winger, a beast of a winger.

Thanks. I would hope, at his size, he has a good shot.

Thanks, sounds like a hell of a kid you want to sign as soon as possible, bye bye Alex Plante.

Do the oilers not have until august to sign this guy. If so by then guys like Plante will be gone. I don't see contracts being an issue to get him signed if they want to. I would also hope the management adds a couple of throw in guys during TD deals

If he signs, even before some contracts are up, I wonder if its a sliding contract like Musil and Klefbom

I could see Bigos not wanting to join the team for a few more months. I mean, he's worked 3.75 years at his degree, might as well spend the next month and a bit finishing the job.

Not sure if him signing a contract would have any impact on him academically, I think it may just bar him from any NCAA action.

Bogos is 23 but will turn 24 in May. He would be signing a one year ELC starting July 1 2013. It cannot slide.

I would assume he'd sign the one year ELC for next season and sign an ATO to play with OKC/Stockston for the remainder of this season.

ATOs don't count toward the 50 contract limit, I believe, so we won't have to worry about that.

NoDak(Simpson) ends MTU(Khaira)'s season with a 6-0 win.

Simpson with a goal, +3 and 3 blocked shots.

NoDak moves on to play Minnesota State.

Quinnipiac(Jones') and Cornell(McCarron) are tied at 2 in the middle of the second overtime right now.

edit: Quinnipiac wins. No points for our prospects.

Quinnipiac will play Brown on March 22nd now.

Denver loses 4-3. LaLeggia's season is over.

He was pointless and -3.

Question:

could any of those players who were knocked play for OKC for the rest of the season?

I think Kyle Bigos is the only one.

LaLeggia, McCarron and Khaira are going back to school next year, I believe.

Will Tobias Rieder be signed by the Oilers?
They have time until June to sign or trade him.
Otherwide he will go back to the Draft.
In Kitchener they are sure other NHL clubs are interested in him and he will play AHL next year.

They'll sign him, he'll he replace the Tanner House contract, imo. I think his contract can "slide" to. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I don't know the state of the German National team, but I almost expect Reider to be at the WHC.

It would be insane not to sign him. And from Reider's perspective there is little to be gained by going back in the draft.

Reider is 20 right now so he can play in the AHL next year.

He is too old for his ELC to slide.

based on the style of play and age of Jujhar Khaira does any one else feel like he would be better off in the WHL?

I don't know. Probably a toss-up.

He's getting good ice-time at MTU. They're a young team. The top5 scorers were freshmen or sophomores.

I'd think he'll have a better chance at bulking up in the NCAA too.
