What does the captaincy do? When you apply it does it give him the C on the jersey for his whole career? or is it only for a game? I also saw a +2 all to it .. anyone wanna explain it to me please?

I think the player stays captain forever. I placed it on a player and it's still on the jersey after 5-10 games.
With all those changes, the market went crazy. Getting a high quality player will cost over 40 000 pucks (Miller, Crobsy, Datsyuk, Chara), very hard to build around packs... my god... I miss NHL12 HUT mode...
I realize some of you are mad about the 1 game training cards, and no salary cap, but I think you're exagerating it just a bit if you are already bored of the game.
First of all, what's the difference between having an all-star lineup and a lineup with all-stars mixed with 99 overall prospects? That's what NHL 12 was also. Teams were stacked. That's what it is now.. nothing has changed. Teams were just as good as you can get them in this game.
Second, collections are much better now with no careers.
I'm personally loving this year's HUT. I'm making pucks easy, playing games, buying and selling higher. Last year I was getting bored of the game because I never could get enough pucks to buy packs. (which is the best and most exciting part of HUT) If you love buying packs and that's why you play this game mode, you won't get bored fast IMO.

Yeah, I'll be honest, I sucked at building a good roster on previous HUT iterations. I would get one or two good/great players, but then continually spend money on contracts/etc so by the time the good players retire, I have to spend pucks just to get the couple that I have back. I still played HUT to death though. It's probably my favourite game mode of the series.
What's the damn point of having prospects in the game if we can only train them for one game? I don't have a problem with the absence of the career number but the one game training cards thing is ridiculous.

Got a Luongo in a pack (along with Oshie and Gardiner in the same pack)
Played a game, won 2-0, sold Luongo for 22K.
Now have 72K within 9 hours of getting the gameee. Word.
Guess that happens when your mom finds 10 000 accumalated microsoft point cards in her room that she planned to give me for my last 4 bdays lol. (No I didn't spend it all, just about half of it, but I purchased the season ticket thing with it as well)
Also **** getting rare injury cards... Thats such a buzz kill
I saved up for a Jumbo Gold back and I got Nabby which was my only good one, my other rares were a couple average defenseman and a rare healing card... My second one
I am so stacked on D but Ive got not many good forwards. I have more NHL dmen then I do NHL forwards by far for some reason. And the NHL forwards I have are allllll grinders or tough guys or two way forwards like Paille, Rinaldo, Shelley, etc
And I agree theres no point in the one game boosts. I hope they patch it so they at least last like 5 games or something
Man, just absolutely brutal out of the gates... Like everyone, couldn't get all of my DLC unlocks because EA screwed up their product keys, and then I build my HUT team, dropped like 20-30k of training cards, and like another 10k of contracts into my goaltender and top sniper, only to find they only last a single game, which I played against some chump team in a rookie tournament.... What a disappointment.

So besides Steve Eminger and Michael Sauer, I have a really weak HUT team. No offense to those dmen, but not the first two players you want to start your team off.
I pulled a Yakupov last night in a pack. The selling market looks totally different than last year. Is it worth selling him?
