To the mods, I tried searching for a 2012-13 Ottawa 67's Thread because I seem to remember someone making one, but I couldn't find it.
Anyways, I thought we could make this thread the 67's discussion thread, but open it up as a place for junior hockey fans around the entire country to discuss stuff. It will probably serve mostly as a 67s thread, but lets not shut the door on those annoying Olympiques fans (Taio, I'm looking at you )
Anyways, if you'd like to discuss any of the listed, feel free
-OHL
-CJHL (Junior A)
-QJMHL
-WHL

Being in Sherbrooke, I'm excited to see how the new team will perform. I'll try to go to games against the Remparts and the Mooseheads and give feedbacks on Erne, Duclair, Sorensen, Brassard, McKinnon, Fucale, Drouin, etc. Sadly, they only play the Mooseheads once in Sherbrooke, and the Remparts twice
I'll start things off by bragging about the fact that one team from the capital region just swept a team across the river
Oh yes, the Smith's Falls 67's.
I really don't know what to make of that series. We obviously need better goaltending to actually reach our potential (Steeves... ), but yeah... The skill was there, but they seemed to panic in front of the net, and looked like they completely didn't care half the time. Groulx looked like his objective was to try out different lines, and I almost suspect that he told them to not get hurt. Réway needs to learn how to use his linemates if he wants to succeed though. The 67's on the other hand, haven't made final cuts yet, so they all had something to play for. My other big observation is that Bourret sucks hard, and I'm pretty sure he's a Sea Dogs plant sent to bring us down from within. I'm hoping we can pick up an overage goalie from the WHL/OHL and cut Bourret.
Speaking of which, Nishi is an overager, is he not? Any chance Blair and Wilson make the team, and Nishi gets waved out of the O?
I'm not sure that we need to be worried just yet, but I am kind of concerned...
Smith's Falls did look better than I thought they would though.
Can't wait to see the 67's back in action. I've always preferred the CHL to the NHL actually.

Exhibit A as to how hockey doesn't matter on ESPN:
Last night an ESPN program was discussing how the Detroit Pistons needed a hero citing the heroes on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and no mention of the Detroit Red Wings. All this despite the Red Wings probably being the most succesful team in Detroit right now.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Prince come back. Bingo will be really deep if there's a lockout, plus it wouldn't help being in the stands. Really excited to see how the rookies do.
saw cajkovsky during training camp at fred barrett. that kid, is absolutely MASSIVE. i was stunned. they were all walking through the lobby and he towered over everyone. he looked like a man playing with a bunch of boys. kid is huge. 6'4, 230 coach said, and he looks at least that big.
