Puempel had a nice pass, he played okay imo. None of Kitchener looked good today.

was at the game. agree puempel did ok with what he had. He didn't really get a whole lot of chances but made a couple good defensive plays, couple passes and a chance or two in front. He was playing with marcantuoni and alberga.

cajkovsky and callaghan looked good. ceci was ok too but i still see lapses in judgement. course graovac used his size well and stood out.

good win. 67s needed that. rangers need to get it in gear.

Puempel is definately a long term project. He looks like he is skating in cement all game and he lacks some drive to retrieve the puck. He also looks really small out there.

i didnt see puempel do a whole lot of anything out there.

man oh man, are graovac and monahan ever big, strong pro-style forwards. they will both end up playing in the NHL. of that i have no doubt.

Graovac better be dominating. He's one of the older players in the league now. It's easier to look dominating when you;ve played in the league this long. Idk is he' going to be an NHLer imo. It's top 6 or bust imo.

Yeah putting up a PPG in the OHL is not hard at Graovac's age, but he's awesome.

I'm personally waiting to make sure this isn't just a hot start.

Over the past few seasons I've always thought he was about to breakout but he ended up reverting back to his old self. I've been burned by this kid so many times I'm waiting and seeing lol.

If he's top 6 or bust, it's gonna be bust IMO.

Would definitely be the safer bet. Though odder things have happened.

67's lose 7-3

Ottawa actually outshot Barrie 44-39 but Barrie scored 5 goals on the pp out of 8 chances.. Most of the damage was done by Scheifele and Hall with 6 points each. Ottawa goals by Ceci, Giftopolous and Graovac, Monahan had 2 assists.

Can't really tear it down since their isn't much there to begin with. Can't move Monahan or Ceci, and I personally wouldn't move Graovac yet. Not much left to be shipped out there.

Why can't Ceci or Monahan be moved?

Ceci i think could/will be moved at the deadline for a huge package of picks and what not.

Monahan depends for me on what the scouts are saying about how NHL ready he'll be next season. If it looks like he'll go right to the NHL might aswell trade him for something to help us next year and the year after. You'd almost have to assume Gustavson would be traded along side Monahan.

The only reason Ceci wouldn't be moved is because of his local connections to Ottawa. He's a great asset, but by January trading deadline he should be moved. The 67s can expect a blue chipper 16 year old and multiple 2nd round picks in return.

We're charting unfamiliar territory here; it's been a long time since the 67's were a bottom feeder in the OHL. Brian Kilrea's style of GM'ing didn't produce the dynasty teams through wheeling and dealing of assets and mortgaging the future, but at the same time his teams were consistently competitive. Not good timing given that they are trying to break in with a new fan base out in the west-end (not that it's ever a good time to suck). I was hoping the 67's might benefit from the NHL lockout and have some players bumped back to the 'O', but it doesn't appear to be.

Exactly, but I don't think anyone can replicate what Kilrea did.

I think Byrne needs to do similar to what London did, and take one year of tanking, and the next year find themselves as an upper echelon team.

The last time the 67's missed the playoffs was 1994-95. Alyn McCauley and Shean Donovan were playing for them at that point. That's a pretty impressive run.

I still believe they'll make it as a 7 or 8.

You may put Monohan on the block and see if anyone's willing to pay 2 season value (as opposed to 1 season (and by that I mean 2 months)).

Either way the guy with the value is probably gonna be Monahan. There's a real chance he'll be playing junior next year.

Owen Sounds goal was pretty weak. Graovac ties it up, 1-1
