Ultimately he has more potential to bring a team continued success if he's as good as most say (and he wouldn't have been granted exceptional status if he wasn't a great player ready to play in the OHL a year before he should be eligible).

I enjoy the "because you saw a couple clips" thing. Nice touch.
Just stating what you brought up.. and you'll never make me believe you actually watched Sean Day at all other then the few clips posted in the media.

!! 67's HUGEEEEEEEE winners so far.

Congrats to Ottawa Valley Titan Ryan Orban for being the first local pick, going 2nd round to Saginaw.

Henley will definitely be on the opening day roster.

I think the 67s need to find clarity with their goalie position. If they can get an average goalie, they'll be a #6 seed next year IMO.

What about Henley excites you? Did he slide?

Yes and no (he slid).

I was shocked that he fell to 20, but I didn't think he'd go top 10 or anything. I'm just surprised that he wasn't picked 16-19 by some of the better OHL teams. I'm going to do a little scouting report on some of the picks (mainly the ottawa guys) a bit later.

A lot of the mocks had him going 13 or 15 as well.

Agree. Henley will be a good player for us. Matthew Mercer also appears to be a steal in the 6th round. I've heard that name tossed around a lot.

I asked around to some Ottawa area scouts and a lot of them like the Fanjoy pick.

Both goalies they've picked have been 5.08"

So how does the team look after the draft? Worth going out for a lot of games next year or will it be similar to this year and just Rogers TV worthy?

Konecny alone gives the team a great weapon it didn't have last year. Combined with the (likely) case than Monahan returns, as well as a year's experience for all the rookies, the team should be significantly improved already. All it needs is a decent goalie and I'd peg them as a playoff team.

We'll make the playoffs.

The team will do a lot of damage if they get a goalie to perform.

Excited to see Konecny play! How much longer are the 67s at SBP?

Maybe I'll get season's tickets. Never had them for the 67's are they expensive?

Reasonable. Certainly in line with what you'd expect for an OHL team. I couldn't give you an exact number, but I strongly considered getting some the last season at Lansdowne.

Guys. There are NHL CAPTAINS younger than me.

Believe me, you're nowhere near old. Now get off my lawn.

I just remembered that my draft year is actually this year because I'm a late 94.

THERE'S STILL TIME TO TRAIN!
