Bob McKenzie had his preliminary Team Canada for the World Juniors.

He's got Monahan on the third line, and Ceci as a possible 6 or 7 d-man, but just as an honourable mention right now.

If the lockout's still on with all the quality players in the CHL Ceci would have to put on one hell of a performance to make the WJC team imo. Odds are against him.

The boys really need a big win against Sudbury today. Down 2-1 after the 1st. Goal came from Ceci, and assisted by Monahan, so at least that's good.

Edit: Now down 4-1 in the 2nd. It's gonna be a looonng season for the 67s I think

67s should trade Monahan, Ceci, Graovac, etc.

Not kidding.

Agreed. Its pretty obviously going to be a re-build season for us.

I wouldn't trade Monahan though. The others i agree with.

Still early, but 67s are last in the O with only one win. Might be good for ceci's development though if they continue to struggle and he's relied on as a leader.

Does anyone know what went on with the two imports we drafted, I know we only had one spot open with the return of the Slovak dman (not even gonna try and spell his name), but anyways I remember hearing that they were at 67s camp, I guess neither made the cut??

Richard Mraz is still here (injured). They cut the other guy loose when Cajkovsky returned.

Obviously as the President of the Sean Monahan Fan Club, it pains me to say it.

Odds are teams are this is his last year in the OHL, and if teams are willing to pay a Pietrangelo-esque price for him or Ceci, I think they should do it.

Depends who takes Monahan really. He's pretty NHL ready but it wouldn't hurt to send him back down next year. In that case holding onto him would be beneficial but its all an if game.

If by the trading deadline it doesn't look like YoungMonny is ready, then I too would hold on to him.

Don't see Ceci being traded. If only because I can see some backroom whispers and nudges from the Sens that they want one of their top defensive prospects to stay in Ottawa so they can monitor him much more closely etc.

I could be totally wrong...but that's the gut feeling I have.

As for Monahan and Graovac.....I can see them going around deadline time for quite a bit from a team looking to make a Memorial Cup run.
