I was thinking the same thing. Our defense won't be as gassed either.
But of course if we win the cup, HF boards will cry out that there should be an asterisk by our name in the books for winning it in a short season.
We'll just have to go back to back now wont we
I think a shorter season will help Hank and Gaborik. Hank wont have as much of a workload and can be fresh for the playoffs. Gaborik can rehab his shoulder and take his time doing so and also be fresh for the playoffs
As long as there is a season, a shortened one would be a huge advantage for our shot blocking team. I would happily sacrifice 20-25 games to have a well rested Lundqvist for the playoffs as well. Also there would be less, or even no time lost with Gaborik. I love our chances in a shortened season.
i dont think it benefits any goalie or team in particular, every team is concerned with the amount their star goalie plays, and every team now has the advantage of their goalie having to play far fewer games.
BUT if it is a shorter season, then Hank will lose his 30 straight wins a season to start his career, a current NHL record
Yep. I thought of this same thing a while back.

shortened seasons also become condensed seasons less days off so it might actually be worse for a team like ours due to not having as many days off to rest after games. also would likely increase the workload for biron.
