AHL Live Substitute?

350$ is way too much money, is there any other options?

Wolves stream the audio for their games via their website. No video.

I assume you're looking for Binghamton Senators games? You can try this stream bsenshockeylive or atdhenet.tv might have some games...

Actually, if you go to the AHL Live website, audio is free for any game.

I saw that ADTHE was listing AHL games again...

Lets hope atdhe can keep it going longer than last year, i remember a few years back they pretty much had the whole season.

I dont plan on paying 350 bucks for 1981 Soviet Union video quality.

AHL Live is such garbage. I feel like I've been taken at only 150.

The quality of AHL live won't get any better if people don't get it. It might be pricey but they don't have millions of subscribers like NHL game center, so until more money is invested the quality will continue to be poor.

And no one is going to buy it if the quality remains this poor. It doesn't require a massive investment to provide higher quality video than what they are currently providing. You have to choose to stream at the bit rate that they are.

Griffins and Bulldogs....;-)

Went to the GR game last night, it was fun for the opener.. too bad they lost, but at least it wasn't a mercy kill to GR...

It's the producers of content who need to step up their game... they have a product to offer, they better get their sh/t together. This video quality is unacceptable and maybe it's about time AHL starts thinking about another partner to hand the broadcasting rights over to.

I tried AHL Live tonight to watch the WBS Pens vs Binghamton Sens (1 game @ $6.99). Based on that game, I'm incredibly glad I didn't drop $150 to watch them this season.

- Video quality was poor (couldn't have been more than 480p).
- Audio was choppy/slightly ahead of the game.
- During timeouts, I had to take my headphones off. Not only did you have the commercial playing, but the announcers left their mics open so you could either hear the blaring of the stadium activity or them talking about what they were going to do next.
- You can't put the game in full screen on one monitor and use another to do something else - it will revert to the standard window size when you click on anything.
- There was no score/time display.
- I almost wasn't able to watch the start of the game due to site problems.
- The stream died a split second after the Pens scored their first goal (it cut to a screen with the AHL Live logo) and didn't return until the faceoff.

I'd say it was worth half what they're asking at the very best. I feel really sorry for anyone who dropped $350 for the whole package.
