By the way, since we were talking about the demise of Q101 a few months back, the station has resurfaced as 87.7. Except it sucks less now.

Oh God..... I hate this paperwork.... I swear, I've been staring at paperwork for two closings on Friday for almost the past hour, and I can't find a few missing grand that should be in there somewhere....

Got half a mind to just say "**** it," throw it aside, work on it tomorrow, and do nothing for the remainder of the day (unless other closing documents finally get sent in).

The immaturity level of kids at my school is also pathetic. All I see on Twitter and Facebook is "Who cares?", "Politics is for old people", etc. Guys, this stuff applies to your future. Whether or not you enjoy politics, it does matter and many people care.

First off you, you go to DePaul right? Finance major myself, so I am with you; the economy is the pivotal issue this election cycle.

Lastly, they aren't trying to create a bubble, but that by no means precludes them from doing so. Introducing money the first two times made sense; credit was tight and there was a ton of pressure built up. The third time seemed superfluous though and I have my doubts about its efficacy.

Ha yeah I study finance too at DePaul. What school do you go to?

But I disagree. QE3 is just giving people a false sense of security. It's causing inflation to rise which affects the middle class and poor the most and gives them less to spend. Interest rates are also way too low. The Fed doesn't need to be pumping all this money into the economy. And US treasuries could become worthless. I think we'd be better off going through tough times now than having it be worse in the future. We need to stop spending and borrowing, and start saving and producing again.

Peter Schiff explains it pretty well. But I hate Keynesian economics lol, so I don't support quantitative easing. To me, it's just artificial growth. I'm not big on government bailouts either.

I agree with you regarding the latest easing. I think there was solid reasoning behind the first easing, lesser so on the second easing, and little if any regarding the third.

The point is, in my opinion, is that the fed needed to keep interest rates lower in the immediate aftermath of the downfall and they did. Now the continuation of the policy more and more debases the currency while potentially doing more harm than good.

All my classes are downtown right now. Monday and Wednesday night classes which totally sucks on top of my two other afternoon sessions.

Yeah it just seems like they're delaying the inevitable. And the more and more they try to avoid it, the bigger hole we'll be in. The dollar will continue to lose value while inflation continues to rise. And you could say they keep trying with QE again and again bc the previous ones didn't work.

I love having classes in the Loop btw. I just transferred so it's my first quarter.

I just bought a new couch, now I have to figure out how to get it home. Only dude I know with a truck is leaving for Vegas this afternoon. I think I have to rent a truck, wondering if it would be cheaper to go to rent-a-car or rent a moving truck.

Go to Home Depot, seriously. You can rent big enough pickup trucks for a couch by the hour. Out here, it's like $20/hour.

Yep, that'll work, thanks for the tip. It's a sectional, but not a huge one, it's a little smaller than your typical one. I think a truck like that should be able to get both pieces in one trip. Everything is close to my house, home depot, the furniture store, should be able to get it done in an hour.

Busy couple weekends ahead of me. Heading down to Champaign again this weekend to help my dad with a diabetes walk, and then next weekend is the big move from my current cramped apartment in one section of a condo complex to a two story townhouse in a different section of the same complex.

There's something a tad underwhelming and yet still overwhelming about moving all my stuff about a football field's distance or two....

Wow, that Home Depot truck rental outfit is nice to know about. I just gave them a call, 19 bucks for the first 75 min., no mileage fee, just a flat rate. He also said they give a 20-30 min. grace period before charging you another hour. My house, the furniture store and the Home Depot are all with 5 miles of each other. This shouldn't even take an hour. I already vacuumed and steam cleaned my carpets 3 times over last night. Ready to do this thing, have wanted a new couch for awhile and this new one is so damn comfy plus I never had enough places to sit, always had to bring chairs into the living room and ****, now everyone can sit on the couch.

Maybe I should become a gym teacher. Their job seems easy.

Today, the class was instructed to do a workout and that we could use bikes. The guy said "If you're riding a bike, make sure you're pedaling".

Those that can't do, teach.

And those that can't teach, teach gym.

This reminded me of something. There was some guy on here claiming to be a professor about something and how none of us understood the concept we were debating over. Where are you and what was it about?

I'm having an argument over on Sherdog with a guy who thinks Gretzky was bad defensively because "he didn't win any James Norris trophies or any 1st team defense nominations."

Oh boy.
