It's not the kind of car that is even worth selling, and dealing with the cheap ***** trying to haggle it down further and further. Like I said, it's a mid-90s model with 190K miles on it... I'm going to use it, and sell my car. Should be able to get at least 12K for my car, I hope.

Yup, looking forward to being able to take a picture of the big 300K before the end of the year.

I'm doubting he's getting a free car as anything other then a family/friend favor. It'd be a dick move to turn around and sell that.

That said, don't speak ill of old cars. I currently own a 11 Jetta and a 92 Nissan Stanza with 225k as my work beater; the Nissan runs like a top and I'm hoping to get 20k~ more miles out of it. Best case scenario I'm able to give it away in 3-5 years to a friend/family member in need.

Yeah, it's from the in laws that are getting a new car... that'd be pretty bush to just sell it, especially since we see them multiple times a week so there is no way I could hide it if I even wanted to.

I play Halo but don't drink Mountain Dew or Doritos

On a side note, I was amazing at Halo 3 and ODST, now I kinda suck. Sigh.

Ah, Halo.... very fond memories of playing the original multiplayer LAN on my dorm floor freshman year of college. We played the hell out of that game the entire first semester and even occupied the common room for a while. Heck, me randomly choosing "Shogun" as my name is ultimately what got me this nickname. A few buddies from college still call me Shogun or Shogs irl from that, believe it or not. It got to the point where I had it as my middle name on Facebook for a while and sophomore year a bunch of pledges for our fraternity got their names test wrong because they all thought Shogun really was my middle name.

I'll get Halo 4 eventually, even though Reach was honestly the only other one of the main series that I thought was a good game beside the original.

Yep, been playing since halo 1 as well. Think every game has gone further downhill and feels less and less like halo but its the only series I play.

And coldsteel, just asking people who already drink dew or eat Doritos for their codes if they aren't using them and have the time to send them. Not really a big deal and wasn't expecting any, but figured why not.

Hawkey, thanks. Don't worry about it if its any trouble.

have you ever tried to find an *estate sale*? when ppl die they have a ton of stuff (including valuable stuff) - that the family often wants to offload quickly and for cheap...that's a pretty good (and cheap way) to find a very good car - and i don't just mean a car from the '70s that some old guy was driving around. sadly, even young people (with cars) die - and they need to be sold...also, you can grab a discount on a lease that way...someone young (and with a nice car, on lease, dies and the dealer is an *sshole, won't take a return and the family wants someone to just take over the lease and take the car).

i see that frequently (issues w/ unloading nice cars and leases)...it's actually a decent way to get a steal on a car (or pick up a lease on cheap).

Skyfall was pretty damn excellent, gotta admit. Dragged on a bit, but great all around.

Great day today. Saw Skyfall this afternoon, and loved it, followed by cooking an absolute feast of a dinner tonight for the woman and in laws.

Also loved seeing Bama and Saban lose.

Have a small, hard, painful lump just in front of my left ear (about 3/4 of the way down, just in front of it). Hurts to open my jaw more than an inch or two. It's been here for three or four days, only starting to hurt today.

HF is obviously not the perfect place for medical advice but it's 2:25 in the morning and I'm just wondering if anyone else has had something like this. Not the most specific description, I know.

Bah, gotta go into the office for a few hours today... Thank God the Bears are the nigh game, or I'd have been livid. Although still pissed about missing FF... both my teams 4-5, and both need a win badly.

Holy **** Wilfred is actually a really good show. For those that don't know about it, it's about a suicidally depressed man who imagines his neighbors dog is just a man dressed in a dog suit. It's very funny.

Was in Romeoville over the weekend scouting a showcase and none other than Tom Glavine was there. Most random thing ever. Team from Atlanta was there and he was watching them so I can only assume he's got a relative or something playing for them (no Glavine on the roster) but it was cool. I didn't say anything to him or go up to him, I like to leave people alone in public but it was a random cool thing. Obviously a huge hockey fan as he was an NHL draft pick in addition to being an all-time great Major League pitcher. Think he probably made the right choice of sports.
