Good to hear! Was shocked that he fell all the way to the second round, but I'm so glad the Leafs got him! Hopefully he develops into a top 4 guy in the NHL one day. Burke has set the Leafs up with a great defense core for the future:

Phaneuf-Rielly
Gardiner-Finn
Percy-Granberg
Holzer/Nilsson/Blacker

Obviously some will bust, but not a bad group!

Excellent to hear. To all the people who complained about taking D with our first two picks.

Lots of trade bait there, if a deal for a center comes up.

Like that list even more when I see it doesn't include Liles, Franson or Gunnar.

Gunnar is a good defenseman going forward. However, I'm not sure he fits in long term. He'll be here the next 3-4 years though, likely.

I give Gunnar a season and a half at the most, if at least 50% of our D prospects emerge. Probably deadline bait, and valuable to boot, if he has a good season!

Very deep group on D, I can actually see Finn with Dion as the shutdown pair one day. We will see how the game evolves in a year or 2, but puck movement and a d man joining the attack may be the style of game we are gravitating towards. Making this D a very promising group. Would like to see Granberg and or Nilsson surprise us one day.

Good to hear Finn get off to a good start, that's the type of D man we got. Going to be a valuable player for us one day. Also nice to see him tip the scales at 207lbs, this is not a small D man.

Gunnar, Liles, Franson's days are numbered IMO. It would take a hell of a deal for Burke to deal Rielly, Gardiner, Finn, or Percy(he loved him when we drafted him).

I have decided this year to follow the Kingston Frontenacs due to the lockout, and while looking at the home schedule I saw that Guelph makes the trip on Feb. 12th, excited to see him play live. Absolute steal of a pick.

I should really check out a Storm game sometime, can't say I've got much better to do.

Awesome for Finn.

Go Finn !!!!

Also want to point out and give a hip-hip hurray for Ryan Rupert 5 assists in 2 games and a fight, not a bad start for the evil little man.
