good games Columbus.
Rinne is amazing, kept me in it both games (it's hard to stop the puck when you're own team is trying to score on you)

Dallas and Edmonton!!!!
Still haven't heard from you guys. Are you available sometime this weekend?

A lot of players could be traded away. Anderson, Phillips, Gonchar, Methot, Greening, Condra, Regin, the list goes on!

I'm looking for draft picks and prospects or young NHL players.

This is a great offer for those who feel they have a contending team. Adding some vets is never a bad thing!

I'd really like Anderson to go soon. Starting point is a 2nd. Time for Lehner to take control of the #1 spot.

The Nashville Predators are happy to announce that they have made a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs that sees goaltender Pekka Rinne on his way to Toronto for James Reimer, Veteran Clarke MaCarthur and top prospects Joe Colborne and Morgan Reilly.
The trade breaks down as follows:

to Nashville
M. Reilly
J. Colborne
J. Reimer
C. Macarthur

to Toronto
P. Rinne
P. Gaustad
M. Mazanec
T. Beck
S. Valentine
C. Mason
4th round pick

GM krs82 has this to say about the players leaving the Predators "We would like to thank Pekka and Paul for their time in Nashville and all their great work for the organization. They were both great players, teammates and role models in the community. We wish them both nothing but the best in their future careers in Toronto."

When asked why he would trade away one of the best goalies in the league, krs82 said "ya, Pekka is amazing and proved himself last year as one of, if not the best goalie in the NHL. It was really hard to move him but I thought and think we made the best deal we could and one that is going to help our team now, but more importantly, in the future."
krs82 continued "When we signed him to the 7 year deal we were going in the direction that we would compete for the cup this year, unfortunately things don't seem to be going as well as we had hoped. So when we came to the decision that we were going to focus more on the future, I decided that it was only right to let Pekka know what the plan was and to give him the option to move on to a place that he would be happy and also help us load up our prospect pool. I told Pekka that we would only move him to a team that he would be happy with, seeming that he would be there for the next 7 years and he gave us a list of 3 teams."
When asked if there were other offers on the table krs82 responded "ya we had other offers but when it came down to it, we figured this was the best deal for us. When we took a look at our prospect pool, to be honest, the cupboard was pretty empty. With this trade we feel we acquired a future star goalie, a stud defensive prospect, a big strong stud center prospect and a left winger that can step into our top 6 right now. Like I said before, I think this deal helps us now and really helps us in the future."

Word of this news has made the internet go crazy with thoughts that Shea Weber wants out of town now that the team is looking towards the future. When asked about this rumour krs82 denied that there is any deal in the works to move Weber out of Nashville aswell. "There is nothing going on with Shea, I had the same talk with Shea that I did with Pekka and Shea was positive he wants to stay here. He told me that he signed here long term because he loves it in Nashville and wants to finish his career playing here."
krs82 did finish with this though "I can't say I'll never trade him, but as of now there is no desire from either side for Shea to leave. I'd have to be completely blown away to even consider trading him away"

The Nashville Predators would like to announce that they have come to terms on a deal with the Carolina Hurricanes that sees one of the Kostitsyn brothers on his way out of town for a top pairing defencemen and a pick.

The trade breaks down as follows:

to Nashville
J. Pitkanen
2nd round pick

to Carolina
A. Kostitsyn
B. Ryan

With tons of rumours swirling for month now of an eventual departure for Andrei Kostitsyn many insiders believed it was only a matter of time until it happened, and they were correct.
krs82 has this to say on the deal "We want to wish Carolina luck with Andrei... Although we had our run-ins, I still wish him luck and hope he does well in the new environment." he continued "We had many offers in on Andrei but with everybody knowing he didn't fit in well here, it made it difficult to get what we felt he was really worth."
when asked how long this deal took to develop krs82 said "Literally, minutes... I just had my first conversation with Carolina GM, Elfhunter, right after the Toronto deal was announced and he really stepped up to the plate and made it known that he felt Kos would really help his top 6. I told him what I was looking for and he made me the offer I wanted to hear. It was that simple"
When asked if he was done he had this to say "I'm never done. I see a couple more moves coming up shortly. I'm not going to say any more than that. I will say that we are in the market for a veteran starting goalie who could step in for a year or two while James has time to really develop."

It looks like it might be a busy year in Nashville

I would like to announce a trade that took place on last schedule advance.

Mister Chara has lifted his no trade clause to go to the big apple city.
This trade come at a big price for NY that has sent his best center in Brad Richards and A. Stralman in exchange.

So to resume the trade:

B. Richards
A. Stralman

Z. Chara

New tradeblock for the Anaheim Ducks. Posted on facebook as well. Been getting alot of requests lately so I hope this will help people know whats available.

Centers:

Saku Koivu, 38 Age, 78 OVR, 3.8M UFA next year

LW:

Niklas Hagman 32 age, 78 OVR, 3m UFA next year
Jason Blake 39 age, 76 OVR, 4m UFA next year

Defence:

Robyn Regehr 32 Age, 84 OVR, 4.02m UFA next year
Tony Lidman 35 Age, 81 OVR, 3m UFA next year

Goalie:

Dan Ellis, 32 age 76 OVR, 1.5m UFA next year

All other players are pretty much untradeable for most negotiations, especially players under 30 years old.

Looking for younger semi-prospects. Nhl caliber players low 2nd to 3rd line players, snp, pwf, twfs or maybe top 6 defence. Between 19 and 27ish age. 75+ OVR. Don't want players that are over 30, top line players, draft picks or young ahl/chl prospects. No goalies either.

Hey just a question guys since I'm new to GM CONNECTED. Is it a full 82 game season? If so, how many seasons are we gonna be getting in before NHL 14. Probably important for picks and such

Well I think my plan for this is to play for as many seasons as we have people for
I play chel all year so I don't think I will be wanting to stop after just one season
We can decide at some point if we want to speed things up as well so we can get a few seasons out of this
But it's progressing pretty good so far I think
