I have to say, Brian Rogers is up there with the best of the AHL commenters. What a guy.

good win by the Albany Refs... I mean Devils...
Naw Devils played good. Usually I roll my eyes when people talk about refs, but this was bad. 4 posts don't help either.

I know, right. Really should just focus on the powerplay in training now. Doesn't help to still have some critical players out with injury though...

Forwards lines if you're wondering:
Jaffray - Burmistrov - Machacek
Maxwell - Gagnon - Gregoire
Telegin - O`Dell - Klingberg
Clark - Macenauer - Sawada
Arsene - Postma
Meech - Redmond
O`Neill - Chiarot
at least this is what I saw
My synopsis is kind of interesting:
Youth was really good: Telegin, Klingberg, Burmistrov, Gregoire
Middle of the road with the middle age: Machacek, Redmond, Postma
Vets were predometely weaker: Gagnon!!, Maxwell, Arsene, Meech
Jaffray being the exception played strong. The Macenauer, Clark, Sawada line played well too.

Can we conclude there isn't a legit goal scorer in the Caps lineup at the moment?

It's scoring by committee, and the committee's out on lunch break. What an abysmal power play these guys have.

Machacek has the worst +/- on the team.

Watching that powerplay live was pretty sad, especially when the Devils had Henrique feeding Larrsson

Anyone catch the first goal assisted by Burmi? Was it a sweet feed? A powerplay marker too... hooooooooooooooly.

Sawada deflected a rocket from Burmistrov. The goalie looked to be screened.
Mahachek drops ' em in the second.
IIRC the Meech goal was on the PP as well. Eddie looking good tonight

Wow - Bulldogs outshooting the 'Caps 35-15, 5 min into the 3rd.
StJ is amazingly "flat" offensively - just don't seem to be generating many chances at all.

No kidding! They made their chances count - outshot immensely, but the PP came up big for the 'Caps tonight.
Good night by Burmi - great shot from the point that got deflected for the 1st goal, and another assist.

Believe me it wasn't the PP that won the game, PASQUALE's 45 stops sealed it.

Actually, it is both.
Can't win games if you don't score more than the other.

I'm just happy to see the PP click not once, but twice. We need more of that execution. 2/52 is pathetic. 4/54+ is just as pathetic.

Who scored more goals? Where / how were those goals scored? Answer those two, and then tell me the PP didn't contribute to winning the game.
Pasquale did play very well, but you have to give some credit to a special team that's been struggling as of late.
Or not.
