This is also including games missed this year. Gives the city a little extra incentive to get this done quickly because it is looking more and more likely that games are going to be cancelled pretty soon.
Or on the flip side gives Jamison the extra incentive to take his time.
My understanding is the numbers are agreed to with Jamison since he is looking at it long-term and the overall numbers really didn't change. Skeete only said minor changes that were not presented need to be finalized.
Glendale presents new Jobing.com Arena deal to prospective Coyotes buyer Greg Jamison
Skeete said he and Jamison have reached an “understanding” for the new deal, but not a final agreement.
Since all this started, I've lived in three countries, had two relationships, bought a home, completed a degree and flown to the moon and back.
Okay maybe not the last bit but only due to prevailing solar winds.
For me, I've had my 3rd child, moved to Phoenix from surprise, Phoenix to the petrified forest national park, national park to flagstaff. I've had 2 serious collisions on duty and one off duty. Wow! It's been a wild ride for sure!
Moved from Mesa to tempe to Scottsdale to Mesa then bought a home. Met my wife and married her. Got a dog. Got a job, lost my job and got a new one. Lost my dad. Changed schools. Been through three different vehicles. Put on twenty pounds of fat, and sprouted a ton of grey hairs. I also have a two year old nephew (became an uncle for the first time), and a six month old niece, neither of whom were alive when moyes filed BK.
Don't know how you guys can stand this dragging on and on.
Sure hope it goes through signed and delivered soon so that you have your team whenever this lockout ends.
That would be my preference - that the sale is finalized before the lockout ends (and also that the lockout ends in my lifetime!). While the lockout is ongoing, I can stand the lack of progress on the sale, but once the lockout is over and a new CBA is in place, a lack of progress on closing the sale will definitely increase my frustrations with the process.
If they can close, get the lock out resolved by the winter classic and get both Maloney and Tippett locked up with five year extensions, I will be a happy camper. Even if the season goes poorly. Honestly, it might not be the worst thing in the World to miss the playoffs in a throw away season with a draft like this.
I know, i know, they say that about the draft every October but we need to actually look at the statistics on this draft.
Please, please go ahead and check out the stats put up both last season and again this season by players such as...
MacKinnon, Barkov, Monahan, Drouin, Shinkaruk, Rychel, Duclair, Erne, and Domi. That doesn't even account for similarly highly touted but less statistically impressive guys like Lazar and Lindholm. I'm serious, though, guys in previous drafts had no where near the pure NUMBERS that these kids have been putting up. It is honestly and inarguably remarkable. And those are just the FORWARDS. Even a 9th place finish likely leaves one or two of those names on the board. A 9th place finish probably keeps Mike smith affordable, too. I'm not rooting for it but it could potentially be the best long term result.
