Sundqvist looked good, worked hard, was very alert and often went straight to the net giving us some faceoffs in the offensive zone. And no he wasn't responsible for the -1, it was pretty soft by our goalie.

I was confused on why Cheverie was apparently never seriously considered? Our current ECHL backup did not seem to be that impressive at any level of hockey in his career. Hard to understand why they chose him over Cheverie when given the choice?

Are we really going to start head scratching over who the Nailers sign to be their backup goaltender?

Marc Cheverie is a nobody who got added into a deal to keep Phoneix under the contract cap. Who cares.

After having 11 points in something like 90 games, Clark Seymour has 7 through 11 this year and I've been under the impression he's playing primarily with 2012 10th overall pick Slater Koekkoek.

Everything I've heard about him before this season made be believe he had a Melichar-like offensive game so I'm not sure if he just is getting some lucky assists or is actually asserting himself a bit more offensively.

Zlobin has kept his hot streak going, had a goal Tuesday then 3 assists Wednesday.

Maata with 2 assists so far tonight. Almost a ppg, 11 in 12.

Seymour was probably the selection of this past draft I was the least excited about. Not only do we have plenty of players already like him in the system (Bortuzzo, Ruopp, etc.) but it seems that guys like him never end up panning out for the team they're drafted for anyway.. just look at the path Engelland took to get to the NHL. But it's nice to see that kind of production none the less.

this his 4th OHL season so he's probably getting good minutes and playing with Koekkoek gives him a bump to. It's not uncommon for guys in their final year of Junior to put up much bigger totals than previously; they have a lot of experience, usually get big minutes and in Seymour's case have started to grow into their size.

St. Cloud State (Hanowski) is taking on Minnesota State (Blueger) tonight. SCS up 3-0 in 1st intermission. Hanowski with 2 goals. This is the 5th game for SCS this year and Hanowski now has 3 goals and 2 assists this season.

Zlobin has been on fire recently, scored tying goal with 31 seconds left and also has an assist. Now at 21 pts in 15 gp.

Wheeling won tonight 7-3 for their first win of the season as well. Pat Killeen started in net and made 28 saves on 31 shots. Reid McNeil finished a plus 1 with 4 penalty minutes.

Well yeah, we don't want other teams' fans coming hearing and talking trash when one of Wheeling's old goalies plays above average for a week in the AHL.

Anyone else remember the Bruins fan who came here gloating about how they stole Andy Franck from us?

Hanowski left with concussion like symptoms in the 2nd after a charge from Eriah Hayes. My guess is he'll be out a couple weeks at minimum.

Several low-lights in the game from Morrow & Bennett. I wish they would have shown that last pass more clearly. I'm guessing that was Despres?

Zlobin extended his scoring streak to 9 games (17 points). He was nominated to represent the Russian U20 in the two QMJHL games of this year's Super Series in early November.

Wheeling and Reading are tied 1-1 early in the second. So far Killeen has stopped 16 of 17 shots.

With all due respect, I don't think Killeen is ever going to amount to anything in this organization. No sense in keeping track of how well he does.

You are probably correct, but he intrigues me as well as Pechurskiy who I doubt we will ever see in North America again. Besides as of right now in that game he has faced 38 shots and made 36 saves for the game to go to overtime.

Update: Wheeling won 3-2 in the shootout. Killeen finished with 37 saves and stopped all four shooters he faced in the shootout. Reid McNeil finished as a +1 and four penalty minutes again. Corey Chupp had an assist and was +1 for the game.

Pechursky and Killeen aren't worth the bandwidth of updates.

hey. Pechursky does have a 1.75 GAA and a .942 SV% this year in the VHL. and he's only 22. i personally am not writing him off just yet. Also, i'm not entirely sure if this is 100% accurate because the KHL's stats are all wonky, but apparently he's played in 5 KHL games and posted a 91.4 SV% and 2.55 GAA not that bad.

what's the world coming to when you can get Alexander Alekseevich Pechursky updates but can't find a single Carl Sneep update?

Kenny Agostino picked up his 1st goal of the season in Yale's 3-2 win over Princeton. Nick D'Agostino picked up 2 primary assists on the PP for Cornell in their 3-2 win over Colorado College. Josh Archiblad picked up a goal in a 3-2 loss against Bemidji State, he's on a 3 game goal scoring streak. Olli Maatta picked up 2 assists in a shootout loss to Guelph, he's now got 13 points in 14 games. Matia Marcantuoni picked up an assist on Kitchener's lone goal in their defeat to Plymouth. Harrison Ruopp picked up 2 assists and was a +4 in a 5-1 victory for his Prince Albert Raiders over Moose Jaw, He's already got 5 points and his career best is 9.
