Bingo, my favorite are the people that are crapping on him that haven't even seen him play yet.

I think that we should call the Paajarvi/Hartikainen-RNH-Eberle line the heartburn or ulcer line because opposing AHL coaches are sure to have at least one of the two coming on when they watch this line dismantle their club

I personally nominate the line to be called "The Danger Zone"

Every time they score, we re-enact this scene with opposing teams fans.

Do you want them to go deaf or become hard of hearing?

This lockout is actually a good thing for the Oilers long term. Hemsky and Hall have their time to rest more, Yakupov gets a taste of what the NHL is like with all thr players in the KHL for the year and the four going to OKC get extra development. I see nothing but positives and I think the oilers will be a threat sooner than later because of it.

If you look at what happened to the Sedins during the last lockout and how much their game was helped by that season over in Europe--we can only hope that MPS and co can do the same

So what happens with the displaced players in Europe and the KHL? Do they get shuffled around like the NHL and AHL/ECHL?

The KHL has a similar system to the NHL/AHL.

A bit of info on their minor league:
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Major_League

I think most other European leagues have different levels aswell SEL->SWE-1, ect

I'd think they'll just rest. Maybe play in some random tournaments or something.

Honest question, who would want them over there? Most of the guys going overseas are much better players or natives of the country where they are going to play in. Would the KHL come calling for Horcoff at 65% of his current deal? I personally don't think so. Smyth wanted to come back to Edmonton to be closer to family, Europe is quite a bit farther away than Colorado or LA

I will be in Moscow for a few more days and then onto Sweden for a week and from what I can gather some fans are trying pressure their teams to not have an opt out clause for players they sign. Talking with a few guys who are involved in the grass roots fan support of some of the local KHL teams, they do not want to sign players and then have them leave after five games if the NHL does get a new CBA quickly. So not all fans are welcoming the invader with open arms.

According to Joanne Ireland. Hall back in town and his preference is to play in OKC during lockout.

Taylor Hall now in town. Says shoulder shouldn't keep him out much longer. Preference to play in #OKC during lockout.

I was hoping to put together a full list of players under contract with the Oilers and where they will be playing this season (list is from CapGeek).

Some of the OKC players may end up in the ECHL, of course.

If anyone has anything to add, please do. I'm especially interested in what Gagner, Petry, and Dubnyk have planned.

Horcoff, Shawn

I heard some rumours about Gagner going to Zug in Switzerland but it's been awfully quiet on that front lately.

I doubt Smyth goes anywhere, but man if there is a whole year loss he's going to look like crap.

Hopefully Petry signs on somewhere soon. He's at a stage where he needs to build off his good year of development not sit at home.

I'm curious with Whitney too. He talked about how hard it was to come back to the NHL after not playing for a long time. You'd think even though he's healthy that he'd be trying to stay in game shape.

Still time I guess.

I wonder if Whitney, and to a lesser extent Petry, might just skate with their former College team's, might be the best for Whitney still working his way back.

I could see some of these guys heading over to Europe soon, maybe to play in the Italian or German leagues.
