well since he is neither of those...

I wouldn't even say Hall is in the top 3 for best skaters on the team.

he played maybe a dozen in junior, he has talked about how he played center in bantam though so that might be what your thinking of.

He's gotta be pretty damn close to the top skater on the team... Who's a better skater than Hall? He's got a bit of an odd style but his acceleration and top speed is world class.

Nuge is the best, followed by Hemsky and PRV imo. He is an elite skater but those 3 are better, Petry is pretty good also. oilers are one of the best skating teams in the league, they always have been.

It depends what you consider a good skater. As far as being agile, its Nuge by far. If you want straight line speed and an explosive first step, its Hall

Agreed, if we're including being agile then Eberle is also > Hall, but Hall is > Paajarvi.

I would consider Hall a better skater than Eberle.

For the record when I said better skater I meant all round, Agility, speed, balance, acceleration, efficiency etc

I would say Hall would have to be the best skater.

Eberle has him beat in agility and balance IMO.

Agreed. That's why its so hard to classify who our best skater is. I go with 2 separate ones. Best speed (including acceleration) and best agility.

IMO,

Best speed is Hall and Paajarvi
Best Agility is Nuge, Eberle, and Hemsky

Sorry if it has already been asked, but what's going on with Marincin at camp?

Yellow jerseyed and off the ice for some of the scrimmage today?

I don't disagree with your assessment. Schultz will be our best D skater in the mold of Ebs and Nuge.

Marincin did leave the ice late in the first but returned before the period would end
Sounds like he's still being bothered by it.

Thanks, I like Nelson trying to play the "stoic, focused" coach, but you can tell he's pretty excited to have this level of talent in camp.

As a student...I can't believe I'm considering paying 150 bucks to watch the scoreboard video feed of OKC games.

Ya? Better than Petry even? I haven't actually watched Schultz yet, but that would be fantastic

Hall is faster than Hemsky and RNH, though the latter is shiftier. Paajarvi might be faster than Hall.

There is little doubt that he is excited, yet you can tell that he is also feeling badly because he has to cut some damn good players thanks to the influx of talent that he has gotten.

If there is no NHL this season, there's not better game around IMO. If Hall goes down it's basically the future Oilers minus Petry, Smid, Klefbom, and Nail.

I would say that he's a better skater than Petry TBH, I'm not sure which of the two would be faster in a straight line, but Schultz really is a gifted skater.

Possibly, hopefully it won't bother him too much in his rookie pro year.

Sportsnet just announced that they'll be showing two AHL games nationally, but OKC isn't a part of their current schedule. Has anyone heard anything about Barons games being shown regionally on Sportsnet West?

Based on the current schedule I'm not holding out a ton of hope for many OKC games on TV. To nobody's surprise, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary's teams are getting first showing over possibly the best AHL team to watch during the lockout.
