Taylor Hall "My shoulder isn't ready yet. I'm hoping to play in OKC but I won't rush my return in order to play in the AHL".

Weird that he thinks he can go to OKC, while other media guys have said he cannot.

Keeping my fingers crossed that he knows something others do not.

Looking ahead and since we're on the subject of jersey numbers, Alex Plante wears #4 down there and the other available numbers are: 8, 20, 24, 37, 38, 40

I wonder if he would've rushed it had the NHL been gearing up for the season? I hope that regardless of where he plays this year he takes the time to heal his shoulder right for the long term good of his health and the success of the Oilers. If he does sign in the AHL on an AHL only deal, would anyone dare question this kids commitment to the Oilers and his teammates? I fully expect him to not play in OKC, but if he does that would be insane. I just hope that he doesn't meet up with Hamonic again.

I hope he does. He can serve him up a nice, cold plate of revenge.

I don't see why he can't go down. Beauchmin last time who had to clear waivers got claimed by the Jackets and then Syracause signed him to a AHL deal.

Why can't Hall sign a AHL deal.

Ryan Rishaug ‏@TSNRyanRishaug Looks like the Oilers will be able to get Taylor Hall to the AHL when he’s healthy. A few details to be worked out, but looks like its a go

Hey I'm not picky, I'd take it on a 1970's rabbit ear tv for all I care.

I remember hearing RSN was gunna grab some AHL games if there was a lockout. Let's hope they follow through.

Don't matter to me I got the full season package of the Barons Can't wait for Game 1

Edit: Only reason I got it is because a lot of the time I'll be watching it on my phone.

So the Barons are getting the media support of Oilers.com. Now they just need to get the same broadcast crew and TV deal. I would really rather not watch the feed from the jumbotron.

Seriously. The Oilers hiring a guy to follow the team and film the games from a digital video camera with a tripod would likely be higher quality than the standard AHL scoreboard feed. I think they could still use the radio play by play though.

The one thing in which the lockout may be a blessing in disguise for us is it forces Hall to have to rehab the shoulder to 100%.

Hemsky and Souray who had the surgery both came back probably about a month too early.

If the season was starting on Oct. 11th, IMO Hall would rush it to be in the lineup on opening night.

Hall should take his time. We need to get MPS ice with Eberle and RNH moreso anyway.

IMO he shouldn't rush it unless he was 40 and retiring at the end of the season and it was Game 7 of the SCF's. NHL regular or postseason, he needs to heal properly so that it doesn't hinder him his whole career.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this would be a good time for him to be moved to C. Let Josh Green take the draws for now, but have Hall play center in all 3 zones.

Paajarvi-RNH-Eberle
Green-Hall-Pitlick
Byers-Lander-Hartikainen

That's one hell of a top 9.

This way we'll see if Paajarvi has the skill and grit needed to play in the top 6 in the NHL. Pitlick gets to play with an elite player, and Hartikainen can work on being Jones' eventual replacement unless Paajarvi doesn't cut it on the top line.

There's lots of coverage on oilers.com as well including a Hartikainen interview and Nelson talking about Hartikainen.

i seriously just dont see taylor hall ever playing centre for this (the Oilers) franchise. he was drafted as a winger. he plays wing in the NHL. scouts, other players, coaches, people and fans from around the league refer to him as a winger... I don't know why people keep pressing the issue... he will never be a centre... let him work on his craft and continue to dominate on LW.
