Typical Brodeur against the Flyers.

I cannot confirm or deny that this might have possibly happened.

If Carolina/Buffalo want a game in the next few hours message me on here, turning the xbox off for a bit. I'm available but I just don't want to leave it running, it's hot and noisy.

i guess somewhat good news for the Atlantic is you taking out Couture for 50 games... Is that 50 games I have to play before I see him again, or should I expect him back towards our last 10 games of this season Also Fluery was really crapping the bed. I'm going to sit him next game to see if fatigue is a factor.

I'd assume that the simmed games count, so he should be good for the playoffs.

Do the simmed 52 games that we don't play count towards our overall record? If so that really wouldn't make much sense.

Why wouldn't that make sense?

To play every game would also put those of us with awful teams at a massive disadvantage. The entire appeal of taking over a younger team is building for the future--so it would get a bit tedious to play every game and only go 3 years.

Simmed games count towards our records obviously.
Why wouldn't it make sense? Every season would take an extremely long time if we played every single game.

It wouldn't make sense because teams that are doing well man vs man could potentially not have their team make the playoffs because 2/3 of the season is simmed. Is there not an option to just have the season last 30 games so all games can be played man vs man and everyone that SHOULD make the playoffs will be there.

...but, to be fair, most of the people doing vey well man v. man have the better teams. LOL.

I think this is just the right balance of playing and simming.

I think seasons can only be 82 games.

It was stated a while ago that we were only playing a partial number of games and simming the rest.
It gives some worse teams a chance at making the playoffs if they play well against humans.

Absolutely not. Look at Columbus. He's doing very well man vs man. His team would probably lose a lot of games in sims, and if I were him would be pretty upset if I didn't make the playoffs due to simming.'

EDIT: I just seems stupid that they didn't include an option for a shorter season for leagues that don't want to sim anything.

That's not guaranteed.

In Be A GM mode in my first season, I saw a bunch of really crappy teams making the playoffs.
Columbus finished 1st in the West and made it to the conference finals in my 1st season.

EA still hasn't perfected the simming engine. Good teams/players often get screwed by it.

He really wouldn't have any right to be upset, considering we've had that rule set in stone before the league even started. If it was that big of an issue it should have been brought up before we started.
