Hech showing some good discipline. Those were all fairly easy takes, but young guys (especially in a RBI situation and guys who are not coming up as hitters by trade) tend to get amped up and foolishly swing at those.

That was a fantastic at-bat by Gose against a good pitcher right there. Seeing a big improvement with some of the younger guys with Mattola now with the team.

Got screwed over by the Ump that inning. Sierra should have walked, and Davis should still be on 2 strikes.

Not sure why Lawrie has to make it look pretty. Just get in front of it.

Looks like the yanks over managed the **** out of that game. How many more pitchers could they have possibly used in a 9 inning game? Looks like Alvarez had a solid game in NY which is great. Congrats to Vizquel

that's how it looks on the box score. It's like a manager drunk with power.

They did everything but get the win. Shame. Hech, Gose and Sierra had good games. A chance to get back at 'em tonight.

Still no EE. Doesn't sound serious, no point in risking further injury at this point in the season.
Davis (RF)
Rasmus
Lawrie
Lind (DH)
Arencibia
KJ
Gomes (1B)
Hech
Gose (LF)
Romero

I can't believe my eyes. A batter with 2 runners on and 2 outs battled back from a 0-2 count to drive a 2-2 pitch up the middle and drove home a run!

No mention with the Sierra groundout that there goes Romero's chance at a winning decision, meaning he will again be facing a potential 14th consecutive loss his next outing. Too bad - he did a job today getting out of LOTS of trouble. Shame they couldn't deliver some run support for him.
