Re: his time in Colorado; you think it is shocking that a player is a healthy scratch coming back from an injury during a winning streak? Trust me, it isn’t the first time it has happened. Kyle logged a lot of quality minutes for the Aves and played really well at times. I watched enough of his time here to know that he will be fine with the Wings.
For the record, it isn’t exactly 1996 anymore. Their payroll speaks for itself. The Aves are a horrendously dysfunctional franchise with grossly incompetent management and a supremely disinterested owner. The only reason Uncle Stan owns the Aves is because they came with the Nuggets and the Pepsi Center. Have you looked at his other sports holdings? This is pretty common knowledge around town here. The local sports media doesn’t even defend the organization anymore.
The most amazing thing is that even after his stellar playoff performance, golden boy Jake couldn’t even take Q’s job. How sad is that?
The angst of the Quincey critics is rooted entirely in the fact that we had to give something up to get back someone we should have had all along. It’s painfully obvious.
Quincey will be fine; not great, but fine.
Quincey will put up points IF he gets powerplay time. And he'll play undisciplined hockey and lousy defense.
To me, that's not "Fine."
Offensive defenseman who can't score points at even strength?
