Referees in Sweden

Can anyone please tell me some information about the officiating system in Sweden?

Are there any websites?

I'm just interested in knowing whether they are professional at some levels, how much they get paid, how many different levels you have to go through etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

They all have day-jobs. They do get payed a little for each games, but they are (unfortunatly) no real professionals. I hope they change that soon, because the SEL is no amateur league anymore.

I have to agree that the refs seem to suck, they had the MoDo-Farjestad game on ESPN360, and the only thing worse than Greg Millen, was the officiating. Souray and Chara got away with high sticking and the like. Tons of interference in the neutral zone too.
