I can't see how any team would want to miss time, if anyone of us closed our business for 1 full year and then did that again 6 years later we would all be on skid row.
I think the NHLPA called Bettman's bluff and the owners are going to tell him to get a deal done before they piss off the fans. Most NHL teams are making huge money, I can't see them wanting to damage their business over this.
Interesting pick. Love the optimism. Do you have season tickets or something?

I think the whole season is a write-off too. BTW, I assume if the whole season is gone, there will be a draft lottery for all 30 teams, just like in Crosby's draft?
Also, I assume if its signed after June (and thus the draft), that the draft would have to be postponed.

Just wondering why you say that? All indications are that the 2 sides are not even in the same universe.

September 21 - Next Friday
Considering that as of midnight tonight, we're in for the 4th work stoppage in 21 years (and as far as I can recall, have never had a new or renewed CBA before the current one expired in at least that long), I'd say it is far too late to avoid the bolded.
I have no idea if anything is going to happen. It's possible. But quite frankly I'm much too lazy and don't care enough to do proper research on the topic.
If one second of the regular season is lost to a lockout, then I will do the following for the entire season (plus any partial season affected by a lockout)
1. Not buy Centre Ice like I usually do
2. Not go to any NHL games (usually 4 -6 per year.. I live in Whitby and am unable to get to any more than that)
3. Not buy any merchandise (usually buy a Jersey and a bunch of other Sens/NHL related items)
These buffoons need to learn they can not lock out/strike every time the agreement expires..
What I WILL do
1. buy tickets to my local CHL team
2. buy CHL merchandise
3. Watch CHL games on television
As much as I don't want to say it, I think by the draft or free agent period. I'm really hoping that they get a deal done soon so we don't miss out on a whole year of hockey.
